Rooster tail/rain spray facing the wrong way in Quali

As the title says, has anyone ever experienced this before? In Practice and Race it's the correct way, yet in Quali it's facing the wrong way and the driver is covered in the spray.

I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the 2003 qualifying rules for GPtweaker?
