First steps for "Lime Rock Fog Experiment"

Do you imagine reaching "Up Hill" blindly?
Driving with very little visibility but with a dry floor?
Tried to overtake another car without being able to clearly see the limits of the track?

If I could use the graphic engine of rain, without rain ... it could generate the perfect climate...

That would be incredible!

The little I know about the weather engine, is that if you save a game in the rain and it closes, when you load it again the track is dry and watering again.

Another thing, if the forecast is of wet track and in the screen of the grid you with the ALT + TAB leaves the game and return, the climate is 100% dry.

I do not think this will help, but it's the little I know of the BUGS of this engine.

I hope you can achieve this challenge :)

You could try rendering 10 atx frames in blender.

Your fog texture does look good.

I believe an almost circular motion could work for a small 10 frame loop. Then possibly add layers of 3d planes overlapping.

WOW! This looks just great. I hope, the experiment works well. This is another feature and all new atmosphere for each track! (Y)

You do not have to displace the American flag. Just Remap the flag after the texture size changes.
As you can see below.
(The blue background is added just so you can see them).

These are all rendered in blender, applying different physics.
An Australian flag, a Holden flag, helicopter blades and helicopter blade shadow.

You could actually have multiple fog textures eg. 4 or more. All rendered for different effects. eg. In a sequence of 10 frames;)

Very good work. Keep it up if you are successful and I am sure that you will be this will also open the door for atmospheric presence on all tracks which will only serve to enhance the sim even more.(Y)

well, edit the tracks via wadupdater and then...? Put the *.tga-files into the wad? Done, but no effect... what else?
