CSM not restoring after exiting GP4

Hi everybody, happy new year. Finally got CSM working on my Win10 laptop by diabling Mcafee, but now I have a problem.
After playing, when I exit GP4, CSM is not able to restore. I enabled auto restore which I had unchecked and tried but it didn't work either. Any suggestions?

It 'a common problem that I fear has only one solution: uninstall GP4 and the mod you were using and reinstall:(

Hi MSchumi24, does this mean the procedure has to be done everytime I load a CSM mod and wish to restore it?

All you have to do is replace the gp4.exe from a clean backup. That is the simplest solution.

I sometimes find that my GP4.exe is not restored properly by CSM, I think it's a bug, so definitely try mortal's suggestion first as it is an easy and known fix.

You should always leave auto-restore on.

There is also a "force restore" option in the CSM menu in case it doesn't work automatically - look in the menu for the "Recovery" option.
