the worst case - i need your help please

dear community,

ithe worst case happened to me and i'm totally lost now. During a backup of my files the hd crashed !! it means i could backup 160 gb of f1 c, gtr2 and some other older games. Because it took some hours to backup the files, i turned off my pc in the evening and as i've started the pc on the next morning, the windows start hangs and then chckdsk begun to rotate for a few hours. After this it still wasn't possible to start the pc again and so i decided to take it to a computer company, to see what happened with the hd. The guy of the company stated, that some sectors of the hd are damaged and that it's impossible to restore my files. Now i have a new hd, but i've lost everything from gp2, gp3, gp32k and gp4 aswell as all my passwords, many programs, drivers and all my works and sponsors and now i need your help. It would be great, if you could provide me the latest tools for gp4, aswell as mods, cars, templates a.s.o. Tobi already sent two links for the season 1996, 2002 and 2018 mods, but i'm still missing the whole trackpacks from cleberpister and ploddek and many more files for the seasons 1988 - 2017. Furthermore it would be nice if someone here still have a photoshop cs version for me. I absolutely have nothing and at the moment i'm totally frustrated

i know these are very much files and i don't need them all at one day, but if you could provide me the files for the next weeks it would be great

However, know that I have almost everything of GP4 in my HD!
The problem is only one: my MediaFire account is free, so I only have 12GB of space available to upload files ...
After what happened to you though I think it's better to upload everything to the cloud ...

and try with programs like HFSExplorer, TestDisk and PhotoRec? at least a little try worth
at the moment i can't rember the name of another similar program made by a russian guy.... i was able to restore (if possible) the dameged sectors.

EDIT: Found: HDD Regenerator.

thank you Rot for the suggestions. The guy in the computer store already tried different programs to get the datas back and he said, that there are so many sectors damaged, that it isn't possoble to do anything. The only solution would to send the hd to a professional data recovery company. I have already looked after such companies and it's extremely expensive, it costs around 1400€.

I had a worst case this morning with breakfast.

On a serious note, how much bad luck you can have.

My Grand Prix 4 Files

Jurgen, did you ever considered to buy a NAS (Network Attached Storage) ? This is what I have since a bunch of years, never had a single issue :


That's a very small server with two Hard-drives in Raid mode, so you can't loose anything if one of them crashes. Mine is with 1 To but you can choose any size that fits your needs. That's not very expensive and it really worth it considering the huge amount of files we can have with our games and mods. And of course, as it is on your network you can navigate from one computer to another with all your files available.
