Hi Augusto, I believe that the gpf file has itself some parameters which in fact set the dimension of it. We know that default dimension of GP4 fonts are 256 x 256 pixels and we know that if you try to load throught GPI Browser a new font with different size (i.e 512 x 512) they are not correctly loaded by GPI Browser, and the generated gpf file is not good.
I tried to understand if in gp4.exe there is something related to the font dimension and it seems not. Then i tried to open an original gpf with an Hex editor and the structure of the file suggests me that maybe it is here the place where we have to investigate. But i'm not a programmer so I need some help.
I think that due to the fact that font files are "256 grey levels gpi files" ( ref. Lo2k post
here ) there is surelly something to edit somewhere to "inform" GP4 that the font dimension is no more 256 * 256. Maybe @petrus can help us trying to understand if gpf files have themself that informations and may be hacked as done for GPI's (ref.
