They never taught me how to break! That's why Connor's car is intact. ;-)

GPGSL Rd 4 Canadian GP - Race Day

Part 2

Welcome back as we continue our coverage.

Worseling will be hoping he can hold off Scala in the battle for 7th.

Hinz rejoins after taking his unscheduled stop to repair the electronics in front of Silvestre.

Jalving sits in 6th currently.

Scala is closer to the back of Worseling on the run down to the first corner.

Down the rear of the field Gilson is attempting a move on McClure.

Worseling is now behind Vilela. What has happened to the SCR driver?

Replay shows that he made a mistake which allowed Scala to get ahead. Vilela was very lucky to avoid hitting the SCR.

O’Neill is in the points at the moment and slowly closing in on Keranen.

Hinz has managed to close in on Steer.

Warrington has managed to get ahead of Elleker.

Back to Gilson and he has managed to get ahead of McClure.

Elleker has lost another position and could soon lose another one to Scala.

It seems there was a problem with the AMR as Elleker has come into the pits for an unscheduled stop. He is reporting it to be Brakes Failure.

Hinz is now ahead of Steer.

Elleker rejoins down in 17th.

Pitstops are now underway as Pedersen is the first man in.

Keranen, Silva and Steer are in.

Pedersen rejoins in 10th. He’ll be hoping to retain 2nd once the stops are all done.

More drama once again at the final corners.

Replay shows that McClure was attempting to make a move on Gilson. In the process it left the SCR driver out wide and spinning. Russell was an innocent bystander as he had nowhere to go to avoid making contact.

Both Gilson and Russell get going again.

In comes De Bruyker.

That hands the lead to Kederer. And with clean air ahead of him he’ll be able to go for as long as possible before making his stop.

Jalving, Mills and O’Neill are all in.

Legge is now in. With Russell coming in for repairs the pitcrew will need to work fast to get Legge out as quickly as possible.

De Bruyker rejoins in 6th. That puts him in position to retain the lead once everyone has made their stop.

Jalving rejoins behind Silvestre who has yet to make his stop.

Van Smirren is in.

Gilson and Russell finally make it to the pits for repairs.

Warrington is in from 2nd.

Jalving has to be frustrated being stuck behind Silvestre.

McClure, Vilela and Rodriguez are in for their stop.

O’Neill is under pressure from Silva.

Into the first corner and Silva has managed to get ahead of O’Neill.

Rodriguez rejoins ahead of McClure.

Kederer is now in.

Scala and Worseling are in as well.

Kederer has managed to rejoin ahead of Pedersen.

Vilela rejoins behind his teammate.

This is our battle for the lead as we head into the final 13 laps.

Silvestre is still ahead of Jalving.

Hinz is in again. This time it’s for his scheduled stop.

Silvestre finally comes in for his stop.

The pace in the MAC just hasn’t been on par with that of both Tyrant and Alpha. Pedersen now has to focus on holding down the final podium position.

With all drivers having now made their stop it’s time to check out the standings again.

Elleker is right behind Vilela on the run into the first corner.

Oh no. Elleker has spun and Vilela has run off the track. The race just keeps going worse and worse for AMR, and no doubt the Brazilian will be annoyed.

Elleker finds himself nudged into the wall, and Vilela is forced to wait for everyone to go by before rejoining.

The AMR driver manages to back out of the sand.

Vilela gets going again. His chance at points has been completely ruined thanks to Elleker.

What exactly is Elleker doing?

He finally gets going again, though he didn’t have to waste more time by reversing more than he needed to.

Time for our final break of the coverage. When we return we’ll be going through to the end.

It's been a good race so far for both drivers. Just have to hope De Bruyker can hold on to the lead for another 11 laps.

WTF was that from Elleker? Official protest to be lodged with race stewards if they themselves don't give him a 10place grid penalty next race, for effectively destroying Vilelas race....

GPGSL Rd 4 Canadian GP - Race Day

Part 3

Welcome back for the final time.

It looks like Kederer is slowly closing in on De Bruyker. It would seem the tyres are working much better for the Alpha driver this time around.

Scala is closing in on Warrington quite rapidly.

Down the back straight and the MTP driver is in position to make a move.

And the Italian succeeds in getting ahead.

There’s a lockup from O’Neill, and the Alpha driver finds himself off in the sand.

Hinz has spun as well. There must’ve been contact between the two which explains why O’Neill locked up.

Hinz gets going again.

Elleker is in for his scheduled stop.

The race just hasn’t been going so good for both AMRs after both cars suffered mechanical issues early on in the race.

Pedersen is still holding onto 3rd.

Kederer is even closer now to De Bruyker.

Jalving is now the only one left to score points for Demon after Vilela was taken out of the points.

Mills is in the points despite having the earlier dramas.

Also in the points is Keranen for Snake.

Despite being bumped off the track before O’Neill still finds himself in the points.

Like with Mills before Steer is in the points despite all of the earlier dramas.

Legge finds himself one position shy of the points.

De Bruyker would not want to be seeing traffic ahead of him right now.

6 laps left to go.

Worseling is down in 7th.

Rodriguez must surely be thinking of what could’ve been had he not made the contact with Steer early on in the race.

Pedersen may soon have his hands full defending from Scala.

Vilela goes for a move on McClure.

And he succeeds in getting ahead.

The gap between Kederer and De Bruyker has decreased yet again.

Scala attempts a move on Pedersen.

Somehow Pedersen manages to hold on.

With a handful of laps left to go it’s time to check out the standings again.

Down the main straight and Kederer is closer again.

He goes for a move into the first corner.

And the Alpha driver gets it done to move into the lead.

It’s quite clear that the pace in the Alpha is far more superior than the pace in the Tyrant.

Scala is still looking for his chance to get ahead of Pedersen.

Elleker has gotten ahead of De Bruyker and pushed the Tyrant driver out wide in the process.

Scala is finally ahead of Pedersen.

Pedersen isn’t quite ready to accept defeat and attempts to get back ahead of the MTP.

However Scala shuts the door on him.

With Warrington in 5th it may just be enough for him to retake the championship lead if he can finish in that position.

Meanwhile Jalving seems to have his hands full defending from Worseling.

Elleker is on the back of Russell’s Christel.

The AMR driver gets the move done into the final corners.

Legge has his hands full defending from Silvestre.

The Christel driver has run off the track. It looks like there was contact made between the two resulting in Legge running off.

Legge recovers, though he has left himself extremely close to the racing line. Both Kederer and De Bruyker will not be impressed by that.

We are now on the final lap.

Worseling is still giving Jalving a hard time.

He goes for a move into the first corner.

And the SCR driver moves ahead.

Kederer heads through the last corner for the final time.

And he takes the chequered flag to win the Canadian GP.

De Bruyker finishes in 2nd, though he will be slightly upset that another victory has slipped through his fingers.

Scala takes the final podium spot.

Congratulations Tobias Kederer and Alpha Motorsports on a well deserved victory here today.

It was a pretty intense race here today. Kederer becomes the first driver to win back to back races this season and has cemented himself as a contender for the Season 12 title. No doubt there will be a celebration later on in the Alpha pits. That is it for our coverage. We hope you enjoyed it, and we hope to see everyone back here again as we bring you the coverage for Rd 5. So until then, it’s goodbye from Montreal.

Points again! very good effort from the team this round and last.
It was a good race from both drivers, but to be beaten by Alpha Motorsports twice in a row does hurt our pride in a way. Sooner or later we'll break through for our first victory, just as long as the cars don't decide to suffer any mechanical failures.

Congrats Tobias on yet another win and also some good points for me as well.

Hahaha, perfect reaction Carlos!

Brilliant drive from Matteo! Podium and fastest lap is superb! Well done mate! At least the boost wasn't for nothing.

Indeed, where could Carlos have been without that accident. Better luck next time!

GPGSL : Team Owner of 'Maverick Track Performance' (MTP)
Great job by Dan and Connor, both cars lost the little pace we had with the accidents but they still managed to finish on points, great job guys

As for our little battle with MTP, we are in good terms, as long as Scala provide us with pizza, Rodriguez provides the Churrasco and John gives us some Swiss Chocolates ;)

For me, another race to forget. At least Nick got some points for the team.

Don't agree with first quote " well deserved "... he past me just 5 laps before the end, and yes... I agree with second quote, I'm not glad with the outcome.

- What did happen to my car after the pitstop. Think I will have a good talk with my Team Engineers... this may not happen again :-(
