Round 11 - Turkish GP - Istanbul ParkRace day at Istanbul, and it started to rain slightly a couple of minutes ago.
But as we can see on pole setter Steer's car, it's by far not enough to put on intermediates.
The red lights are out, and off they go
Kederer tries around the outside
And makes the move stick
Onboard with Vilela in last, showing us that everyone made it through the first corner
Going into turn 9 Kederer takes the race lead
Soutsen passes O'Neill for 10th
The 2 Mistrals going at it, brilliant opening lap by McClure so far, up to 12th from 19th
Both AMR have lost some places
Jalving looks set to take 4th from Warrington
O'Neill too late on the brakes, and has nowhere to go but the back of Soutsen
They both run wide and lose out to McClure
Jalving made the move stick
Warrington under pressure from Rodríguez
Scala has a go at Pedersen, who himself goes for a move on Greidanus
Scala makes his one stick
Vilela hands the wooden spoon to Keranen
Jalving's on the move again, takes 3rd from McCarthy
Pedersen retakes the position from Scala
Hinz passes his teammate
Vilela tries to slip through as well, but can't quite get it done
Silva ran a bit wide, and has to go defensive on O'Neill
McClure clearly the man of the hour, 9 places gained in 3 laps only
Jalving up to 2nd now
Worseling passes Scala for 17th
Russell now in last, having been passed by Keranen
Warrington just a tad late on the brakes, which is enough for Rodríguez to go past
Scala about to lose another place, as he has to defend against Hinz
Meanwhile Steer dropped to 4th
Gilson round the outside of Mills for 8th
He manages to repass Gilson going in turn 12, but at the same time loses out to McClure, who takes 2 places at once
Greidanus past O'Neill now, in 13th place
McCarthy managed to close the gap to Jalving
Rodríguez closely followed by the Tyrants, he can't seem to shake them off
Just as I said that Warrington goes past the MTP
Kederer still in the lead, but Jalving's closing in
Gilson with another go on Mills, gets the move done
Scala still successfully defending against Hinz
Mills under attack from all sides now
Only O'Neill gets past though, moving up 3 places at once
Soutsen now through as well
Or so he thought, Mills fights back
Tries again in turn 12, and gets it done
Mills going very wide in the process
Losing another place to Greidanus
O'Neill right at the back of Silva
Another position lost for Mills as Pedersen goes past
O'Neill goes for the inside
and takes 10th from Silva
Scala managed to get back past Worseling
Hinz defending hard against teammate Elleker
Kederer's lead is getting smaller each lap, the gap down to a second now
That's Mills off the track in turn 8
Rejoins right in the path of Scala, who has no chance to avoid him
Mills race is over, while Scala has to pit for a new frontwing
Losing plenty of positions in the process
Keranen past Vilela
Or not
Yellow flags out as the Marshalls recover Mills' car
Close duell between Keranen and Russell
There's contact, and Russell spins around
Scala finally reaches the pits
Onboard with Jalving, and that's fake rain on the camera here. I can't see any single drop falling right now (some graphical bug, the drops didn't move and were like this on every onboard)
Warrington set his sight on Steer, having managed to pull away from Rodríguez
Only half a second now between Kederer and Jalving
Greidanus the first one to come in for his regular stop
I was wrong, Warrington's already in
That's the move for the lead, Jalving goes for the inside in turn 9
But Kederer manages to defend the position
Quick decision by the DMR pitwall, they bring Jalving in for the undercut
Pedersen takes 11th from Soutsen
Disaster for Jalving, he has to wait as McClure just goes past him
Kederer and McCarthy on the way in for their stops
More tough luck for Jalving as he got stuck behind Keranen on his outlap
He only just stays ahead of McCarthy
While Kederer managed to stay ahead
Can you believe it, contact between Vilela and Jalving, allowing McCarthy to go past
Gilson currently in the lead, but he is yet to stop
Jalving back past McCarthy
He has Kederer right ahead of him now, who himself seems to be stuck behind another car
That's de Bruyker off the track!
Here's a replay, he was too late on the brakes and hit Rodríguez
Sending the MTP right into Steer.
The Brit goes off and spins, while Rodríguez manages to keep the car on the track
It was Elleker who held up Kederer. The Brit pitting, while Kederer has Jalving right as his back
De Bruyker meanwhile continues in 19th, while Steer is last. A promising race completely ruined.
Warrington in 5th, chased by McClure
Jalving goes for the lead in turn 9
But there's contact!
Jalving's spun

He goes for the inside
Gets the move done

Worseling has another go at Jalving
Again it doesn't work out
Soutsen has to defend against Pedersen
McClure can no longer go the same pace as before the stop, he let teammate Silva through
Hinz goes around the outside of Worseling, nicely done
McClure back ahead of Silva
McCarthy seems to have it in the bag, Rodríguez can't close in either
Scala defends 17th against de Bruyker
Contact between Pedersen and Soutsen under braking for turn 12
Pedersen spins around, while Soutsen can continue
Pedersen resumes the race in 15th
With all the drama, Hinz has moved up to the points, probably rather unexpected
Rodríguez lost a whole .4s to Kederer the last sector, just a slighty mistakes or are his tyres done?
O'Neill closed the gap to Warrington
Gilson goes past Silva for 7th
Greidanus currently in 10th place
de Bruyker goes past Scala for 17th
5 laps to go for McCarthy
O'Neill right behind Warrington, while the timing shows that Keranen moved past Scala as well
Here we have the confirmation
Steer has spun
It seems there was contact between him and Russell
O'Neill overtakes Warrington for 4th place
Soutsen holding on to 9th
Despite the slight lack of pace after the stops, McClure still the man with most places gained
3 to go for McCarthy
Seems it was just a slight mistake earlier, as Rodríguez is over 3s ahead of Kederer now
Jalving still one of the fastest cars on track, now looking to at least salvage some points
Gilson with the move for 6th
McClure stays alongside
Has the inside for turn 12
And keeps his position

2nd place for Rodríguez
Kederer completes the podium in 3rd
Silva took 7th from his teammate on the final meters
Elleker too with a position gained, past Worseling to 11th
Congratulations to Gareth McCarthy on his first career win! The third one for MAC Racing this season, a new record for them, and the most of any team so far this year.
