That was a race that... well, happened. And that's about it. Y'know what else is happening now? ACTIVITY CHECK. Hold on to your seats...
Stats: 139 Starts / 7 Wins / 9 Poles / 5 Fastest laps

Activity Check!!
As we approach the end of the season the checks start to thin out the field more and more. Wish I could activity check my body. HA! Oh well, in this occassion we have one absentee:
Maikel de Boer (Snake): Last active on, well, basically MIA by now.
Hereby I proceed to award possibly the saddest boot this Activity Checker will have to give. So it'd better be a great looking one:

I honestly wonder what happened to Maikel. He'd never miss a check, other than one time when he mixed up the dates, but suddenly he vanished. Hope he's doing alright.

He seems to be doing fine, maybe it has something to do with the fact that he has become father of a beautiful little daughter.

Sad to see Snake Motorsports reach this point. Just when stability in their driver ranks had taken hold this season....

On a serious note, i just realised no penalty had been applied in the Constructors points standings - this has now been actioned, and Snake now sit at the bottom of the WCC standings, on 17 points.
This change will be visible on the next posting of results, after the Turkish GP....

GPGSL governing body replacement
Although we are happy to learn from Charrel that Maikel seems to be doing okay, which is the most important thing after all, his continuing absence has led the GPGSL governing body to vote for a replacement in case of Maikel's continuing absence.
For this reason, we're happy to announce Mr. Carlos Rodriguez as the newest addition to the board. He was the most logical choice, given that he's been performing the activity checks for a long while, thereby actively helping to keep the series alive.
Carlos, we are glad that you accept the invitation and are willing to continue devoting time into this series. Welcome to the team.

As per the rules, Snake's temporary team ownership goes to the No. 1 driver, which is Aidan, until the end of the season.

Congrats to Maikel from my side as well. And I agree that there are few better reasons to go absent.
What I don't really get is why nobody makes use of the notification rule. Just a few words of warning, a planned temporary transfer of the team to the No. 1 driver for one season and you're good to go for a lot of family time with the option to return later.
Granted, with the current waiting list there's not much of a difference but still ...
