Um, did our DMR mechanics forget to add the extra bhp via the boost? We just have no pace, even with boost... Gonna be a long race. Just got to aim for a double finish, and hopefully scrape some points off the floor....

I have no middle pedal, just throttle and full throttle. And apparently neither is working.

GPGSL Rd 10 Belgian GP - Race Day

Part 2

Welcome back.

Pedersen still holds onto his lead over Hinz.

Steer might be holding Soutsen up as Elleker looks to be closing in on them.

Behind the AMR Mills in the second MMM has his hands full defending from both McCarthy and Scala.

Onboard with Worseling as he goes through Bus Stop, and it looks like Warrington is heading into the pits.

Indeed he is. He has reported a Loose Wheel as the reason for making the stop.

Warrington rejoins down in 20th and well and truly outside of the points. No doubt he’ll be frustrated by this.

O’Neill looks to be having a very quiet race with no one around him.

Scala won’t like the position he is in currently in which he needs to decide to attack McCarthy or defend from Kederer.

Soutsen has finally gotten ahead of Steer.

What a save by Steer to keep himself out of the wall after running off the track.

He manages to rejoin without contact with another car with only one position lost.

Now he’ll really have his hands full defending from the cars behind.

Mills locks up into Bus Stop and as a result loses a few positions.

With one MMM out of the way McCarthy finds yet another one ahead of him.

He makes a move into La Source.

And he succeeds in getting ahead.

Mills now has his sights set on taking back a position from Scala.

He goes for his move at the same time that Steer attempts a move on McCarthy.

However both drivers fail to make their moves work.

Pitstops are now underway with Pedersen the first of the leaders in.

Soutsen, Scala and Silva are all in as well.

It looks pretty close between the cars at the rear of the field.

Jalving has managed to get ahead of De Bruyker.

Elleker is now up to 3rd, though still has his stop to make.

Kederer goes for a move on Mills.

It doesn’t work out for the Alpha driver.

Hinz is in.

It’s pretty close yet again through Blanchimont.

Worseling locks up into Bus Stop and is somehow able to stop himself from bumping into the back of Kederer’s Alpha.

That’ll most likely give the cars behind a chance to close in more.

In come Keranen and Russell for their stops.

O’Neill now has the lead, though it’s only temporary as he still needs to make his stop.

McCarthy has hit the wall for the second time this weekend.

The replay shows he went off the track on his own, and had no chance to slow the car down enough thanks to the sandtrap.

McCarthy is the second retirement of the race.

Elleker and Steer are now in for their stops.

Kederer will want to try and get ahead of Mills as soon as he possibly can.

Gilson is back in, this time for his scheduled stop.

Rodriguez is really taking it to Greidanus.

More pitstop action.

De Bruyker is forced to wait for Rodriguez to go through before he can leave the pits.

No sooner has Rodriguez left the pits he finds himself having to defend from Russell.

In for their stops are O’Neill, Mills and Jalving.

With all drivers having made their stop asides from Vilela, let’s take a look at the current standings.

Time for our final break. When we return we’ll go through to the end of the race.

Part 3

Welcome back for the final time.

Vilela makes his stop.

We have a battle taking place for the final points position.

Out comes Vilela who rejoins right ahead of his teammate.

Rodriguez tries a brave move on Jalving through Eau Rouge.

Further back De Bruyker shows that the Tyrant Motorsports car still has pace by making a pass on Russell.

Mills is showing great defence against Worseling.

Into Bus Stop and Russell has managed to get back ahead of De Bruyker.

Now De Bruyker has to defend from Greidanus.

It’s still Pedersen and Hinz out in front.

Soutsen has 4th currently locked down.

Once again Kederer finds a MMM ahead of him.

Vilela tries for a move on Worseling.

The move didn’t work out for him and he’ll have to try again at another corner.

Once again De Bruyker pulls a move on Russell down Kemmel Straight.

That’s a SCR off the track, and with Gilson further down the order it has to be Worseling.

Suspension Failure brings the race to an end for Worseling and is the first mechanical related retirement of the race.

It’s still Soutsen ahead of Elleker, though it looks like the AMR has closed in more.

Warrington has lost a position to Steer coming out of Eau Rouge.

The replay shows he ran wide over the apex and was left a sitting duck as he was recovering.

Even Kederer makes easy work of the Tyrant.

Keranen currently sits in 10th. With team boss De Boer still MIA the future of Snake Motorsports hangs in the balance so he’ll be hoping he can keep his position till the end of the race to help keep morale within the team.

Vilela tries again to get ahead of Mills.

He just can’t get it done.

Is this Elleker’s chance to finally get ahead of Soutsen?

We have 4 laps left to go and De Bruyker is right on the back of Silva’s Mistral.

Silva runs wide while defending his position which allows De Bruyker to easily get by.

He only loses one position, but now is at risk of losing a couple more.

As the top 10 movers shows the point for Most Positions Gained is clearly going to be Scala’s for the taking.

Mills still has the advantage over Vilela, though that could change pretty soon.

Almost four cars wide down Kemmel Straight.

Both Demons have managed to get ahead of Mills.

Hinz has 2nd all locked up and secured.

As we head into the final three laps let’s take another look at the standings.

It doesn’t seem like Scala will be losing 6th anytime soon.

Kederer must surely be frustrated by now that he has been unable to get ahead of the MMM.

Warrington could soon be in danger of losing 9th to Keranen.

We’re finally onto the last lap.

Not much longer to go for Pedersen.

Under .1s separates Steer and Kederer.

Vilela just might be able to take 10th away from Keranen if he can close in a bit more.

It’s been a fantastic display of dominance here today from Pedersen. He comes through Bus Stop for the final time.

And he takes the chequered flag to win the Belgian GP.

Second place for Hinz in the AMR. He’ll surely be happy with that result.

Rounding off the podium is O’Neill in the Alpha.

Congratulations Michael Pedersen and MAC Racing, winners of Rd 10.

Not the best weekend we've had so far in Season 12. Our dry weather pace was good, but with the lower qualifying position for De Bruyker he just wasn't able to make full use of it. And as for Warrington we're not entirely sure what the cause of the Loose Wheel was, but we do know that he could've finished a little higher up the field had it not been for that. It's quite fortunate that we were also able to get his pitstop over and done with as well, otherwise he would've had no chance at bringing home points for the team. Time to put this weekend behind us and look forward to the next round.

I think it could have been a podium if I would not have been held up by Connor on early laps. Still a good result though - this is my best position in the main series races so far.

Fantastic effort by the team today, I was quite surprised to more or less just end up in the points. You can see fastest laps, we probably weren't quite of the pace needed, but we kept our nose clean and were rewarded accordingly.
The current team status is incredibly worrying for sure, as great as this result is, it's meaningless if the team has to make cuts or even close.

Not much worth saying from this race though. Happy to see the two DMR's get into the points, but we were just off the pace all weekend for some reason.....

In other matters....
Hmmmmm, wonder if we will be soon seeing the Car of Shame unveiled, for a re-birth of True North Racing...... time will tell.
Would be sad to Snake bite the dust.

Not a good race for me, I was hoping for rain after that unplanned pitstop but not a drop fell. Hopefully we can do better at Istanbul.
