Bit of a lottery of a session so to get two cars in the 10 is not a complete disaster.

Screwed by the weather here :( Not expecting much after qualifying, but maybe we can grab a few points if things go our way.

What a horrible session..... I say we wait it out for some dry weather for the race :)

GPGSL Test Debut - Hungary, Season 4. GPGSL Race Debut - Adelaide, Season 5.
GPGSL Rd 10 Belgian GP – Race Day

Part 1

Welcome back once again to Spa as we get set for the start of the race. In qualifying we saw the rain once again play its part in the session that saw times being set right up till the last handful of minutes. And once all was said and done it was the MAC Racing of Michael Pedersen who took pole for the race. Will we see the rain appear yet again in the race? Only time will tell.

Weather Report

Here we go. The cars are all lined up and we are waiting for the start. Pedersen is on pole with Hinz alongside him on the front row, while behind them sits Soutsen and Steer. As the weather report shows we are set for a dry race here today so it’ll be interesting to see who has the fastest dry weather pace.

They’re off!

Hinz goes for a move on the outside of Pedersen through La Source.

And it’s a successful move by the AMR driver as he moves into the lead.

Pedersen fights back along Kemmel Straight, while further back we can see other moves being made.

Pedersen is back ahead of Hinz.

Soutsen finds himself battling with Steer for 4th.

We have a train formed behind Mills.

And there is another one further back in the field being led by Rodriguez.

We have our first yellow flag of the race.

Here’s the reason why. Both Mistrals have been involved in an incident, and for McClure it is race over.

As the replay shows Kederer was attempting a rather ambitious move up the inside into the Bus Stop, but wasn’t able to get far enough up to avoid making contact with Silva.

The contact sends Silva into his teammate which in turn sends McClure into a rollover and into retirement from the race.

Here is the onboard view from Kederer at the moment of contact with Silva.

Silva manages to get going again, but will no doubt be furious after being taken out of a points position.

We have the official confirmation of McClure’s retirement.

Soutsen goes for a move on Steer.

He couldn’t get the move done and as a result allows both Elleker and Mills to close in.

Mills gets ahead of Elleker, however the AMR driver immediately tries to get the position back.

He isn’t able to get it done.

The racing can’t get any closer than this heading through Blanchimont.

Into Bus Stop and McCarthy is attempting a move on Elleker.

He isn’t able to get by, but behind him there is a lockup from Scala which looks to have caused him to bump into Warrington.

Warrington is left out wide as a result and in the process loses a few positions.

It’s now Southern Cross Racing versus Tyrant Motorsports.

Onboard with De Bruyker as we check out how the top 10 have moved.

Let’s also check out the current standings.

Pedersen looks to have a comfortable lead over Hinz.

It’s still on between Steer and Soutsen.

The Christel driver has a look up the inside through Blanchimont.

There is slight contact made between Mills and Elleker heading into La Source.

Mills manages to hold his position, though Elleker now has to defend from the cars behind him.

We now have a super long train formed behind the AMR.

Gilson goes for a move on Kederer through Eau Rouge.

The move was unsuccessful and as a result has allowed both Worseling and Warrington to close in heading down Kemmel Straight.

The SCR driver at least manages to keep hold of his position.

Scala looks to attempt a move on McCarthy.

That’s Worseling out wide.

Fortunately he manages to keep it together and rejoins, but not without losing a position in the process.

The view from De Bruyker as the SCR driver made his rejoin.

It’s super close once again through Blanchimont.

It appears that Scala was unsuccessful in his attempt to get ahead of the MAC.

Elleker has managed to open the gap up between himself and the cars behind him and can now focus on closing in more on Mills.

He goes for a move down the straight.

And this time he succeeds in getting ahead.

We have another yellow flag out.

Gilson has spun and is facing the wrong way.

The replay shows that he went off on his own, and as he was recovering ended up looping the car leading to him facing the wrong way.

He manages to get going again, however he’ll need to make an unscheduled stop to replace his front wing after damaging it during his rejoin.

Steer just can’t seem to shake Soutsen off from behind him.

Both Jalving and Vilela have been unable to find the pace needed to move up through the field and sit down the order in the midfield.

Silva has managed to close right in onto the back of Russell’s Christel.

Into the pits comes Gilson to get his front wing replaced.

Time for us to go to our first break of the coverage. We hope to be back again soon.

Another Lady Luck! 3rd in a row! I'm gutted!!! I just can't catch the break at all!

Can someone give me a hug? :( :( :( I'm having a nightmare season again and I'm in potential need for an off season.

You have an amazing unlucky!
This time we both were victims of someone else optimistic overtake... It's hard to believe!
An DNF for you and a last place for me. Our team don´t deserve this...

At least you won a race last time, but I'm just 0% at this moment. Heartbroken.
Indeed, our boss won't be happy to see this dramatic picture.

Third place with three quarters of the race to run. Hoping to maintain the place and attempt to finish on the podium. Hoping to hear the Irish anthem if I can get the top step. Lol
