So hopefully Spa will be fun. I don't doubt there'll be some rain, thrills and spills.

I want to apologize for the delay but last week was a real mess for me. I just got the perfs done and Chris will be checking them soon, so expect some action in the not too distant future.

Will there be an update for the mods?

Good question. I have just run a Free Practise session with the current mod and new perf. Just in case there is a change to the mod (not aware of any need to change the Test drivers mod for any driver changes??), i wont post anything for now until confirmation that all is good with the current mod....

AND, I think it is about time the Test Drivers got a Feature Race - mark it down for Turkey, next round after Spa. I will happily run that race for the Test Drivers session.....

as long as there's no driver change I don't think the mod needs to be updated? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Would think this is the case. But, we never know....

As long as you replaced the correct perf file Spa-Francorchamps.txt in the Performance folder of the mod and chose the correct round in the mod itself, there's no need for a new mod. To make sure that the new perf was used, you could change the name of one driver to a fictional one in the performance file, load up GP4 and check if that name is there. If it is, you're good to go.

Free Practise has been run. Fair to say, life jackets and floating devices were required, such was the downpour of rain....
Coverage to come asap.....

GPGSL Team Owner Debut - Melbourne, Season 8 - present
GPGSL Test Debut - Hungary, Season 4. GPGSL Race Debut - Adelaide, Season 5.
Season 12, Round 10 Free Practise

The GPGSL welcomes everyone to Spa-Francorchamps, in Belguim. Looks like the weather gods are dishing up an absolute treat for our drivers today, with the track set to be as wet as
wet can be!

Chris Copeman is first to cross the line with a lap as a benchmark....

Matteo Scala can't match Copeman...

Nor can Stoddart in the SCR....

Jalving goes to the top of the chart....

Soutsen takes over the #1 spot....

Sheppard goes 4th, over a second slower than Soutsen....

Nico Beggani into 2nd spot....

John Maverick puts his MTP into 6th....

Majumdar pops up with the 2nd fastest time in the Tyrant...

Team mate Greg O'Brien puts the other Tyrant into 1st....

Snake's boss goes 7th, after being MIA for a few weeks. Has he returned finally??....

AMR boss Stu Ingers goes into the midpack, with a 6th fastest lap...

Gilson testing some parts on the SCR, shows up with the 6th fastest time on his first lap...

Greenhalgh up to 4th....

Keranen slots into 9th spot....

Pedersen edges out O'Brien to take 1st spot....

James Peters down in 16th....

Karda in 15th, as the rain buckets down....

Elleker posts a respectable 8th....

Championship leader Eric Moinet can only manage 15th fastest with his first lap....

And it is Nata Cremasco bookending the field, in last after all drivers finish their first lap....

Stoddart climbs the running order with a better 2nd lap....

Somewhere in the spray behind Maverick who just improved his own lap, is Greg O'Brien who just went back to 1st spot,,,,

De Boer shaves over .3 of a second off his previous lap...

Similar result for Ingers, going 0.3 seconds better than earlier....

McGregor also improves....

Then Gilson puts in a flyer....

Greenhalgh puts his Alpha into 4th spot....

Copeman into 12th place....

Stoddart showing some pace, as he catapults himself to the top of the time sheets...

Peters improves his earlier run...

Moinet improves, but is still way down the order....

The DMR of Sheppard struggling for pace in the wet, down in 20th....

Greenhalgh takes another slice of time out of his previous laps...

The strongly boosted MAC of Pedersen into 2nd quickest....

Visibilty is really poor - when will GPGSL red flag this session??!!....

Beggani makes a big improvement, going to 5th overall....

And in the next lap around for Beggani, he goes 1 position higher with another improved lap....

Down in 22nd, Karda too is improving, but 1.7 seconds off the quickest time...

Ingers takes 0.4 seconds off his best so far, going into 7th fastest...

Charrel Jalving into 12th....

Scala improves, as does Jalving just ahead of him....

Sheppard also improves, going to 13th....

Finding the best part of 0.5 in pace this lap, Nathan McGregor jumps into 4th....

Elleker also finds some more grip out on track, to elevate into the 8th fastest time...

Stoddart in full attack mode with the plumes of water rising behind his SCR....

De Boer improves, as the front straight is full of cars in the closing minutes...

Sheppard, Copeman and Scala all improve on the same lap....

McGregor up into 3rd....

Elleker again improves....

De Boer and Scala both post fastest laps for themselves to finish the session...

Scala manages to gain a little bit of time on his final lap....

Series points leader Eric Moinet won't score any points today....

Pedersen improves, but not enough to snatch the session victory....

In the only genuine "off" for the session, Peters finds himself missing a front left wheel after finding the wall....

Session over, as Ingers cruises back to pit lane....

So as all drivers get dry, we congratulate Mal Stoddart and Southern Cross Racing for taking the fastest lap time of the day, in what was attrocious weather at Spa!

Good work boss getting 5th place in very wet conditions. Bad day for Dom finishing in 22nd but considering the conditions I think he did well to keep the car on track.

Hope the main race is rain free and Toby and I can get some good points.

Pretty happy with the result. The car showed great pace which is what we were hoping to see, and it's only because of the rain getting heavier near the end of the session that I wasn't able to take back the fastest time. Now to look forward to qualifying and see if either De Bruyker or Warrington can succeed in taking pole for the race.
