Mid pack. I'm sure we could have done better but that's a lottery with the rain. Let's hope the race will go without trouble for once.

But you're a guy, you know you can't do two things at the same time. You're wife can, but you can't. Never.

;) ;) ;)

Last again, good pace in the car though, aiming for points again

Great job Eric
14th on the grid. A 1st finish is possible in the race if I drive like Hamilton at Hockenheim.

A good session overall, we can transform it in a good result :-)

My GPGSL Career
hmmm, not to impressive performance from the car. :(
Wow, pole by 2 tenths, not bad at all!

P5 & P7 in qualifying is a good result for the team, lots of potential for the race.

I have to admit I wasnt quite comfortable in the rain just yet, I havent had enough mileage in the DMR to get everything out of the car in qet conditions. So I'm happy with P5, looking forward to the race.

Race has been run. Hopefully I can get the coverage up within the next few days at most.

A new helmet should be coming soon. Even though I quite like the pink/yellow there xD

2nd on the grid...

pace is good, love the rain... only thing now is getting a place on that podium for bringing some good points to the team.

That was good though I can't shake off the feeling it could have been better. At least I'm on the racing line - not that it matters a lot when it's raining like that! Hope to stay out of trouble, the car looks like a winner.

Solid recovery, first lap was atrocious. Let's just keep it on the road...

The car is fine mate, we just got our strategy wrong and went out to early.

GPGSL Rd 2 Japanese GP – Race Day

Part 1

Hello once again. We are back in Suzuka and are preparing for the race start. In qualifying we saw the rain make a return, but unlike the free practice session for the testers it didn’t affect the session too much and all drivers were able to set a laptime on both of their runs. Elleker was the one who ended up taking pole position and could be on course to take his first win of the season. However, he does have a pack of drivers behind him who will be hoping to stop him from running away with the race. The cars can be heard returning from the warmup lap so it’s time to head trackside for the start.

Weather Report

The cars are all lined up and set for the start. Elleker is on pole, De Bruyker is right alongside in second. Who will win the run down to turn 1? We’ll find out very shortly.

They’re off!

Elleker has managed to convert pole into an early lead, while behind him Rodriguez has managed to get by De Bruyker.

Worseling is challenging Van Smirren.

He gets ahead into Degnar 1.

And holds it all the way through Degnar 2.

Elleker has a comfortable lead over Rodriguez.

Kederer has De Bruyker in his sights.

Fastest Lap goes to Elleker.

Warrington currently sits in 5th. He is a former Japanese GP winner having won here in Season 9.

Warrington goes for a move on Kederer into Degnar 1.

And he succeeds in getting ahead of the Alpha driver.

That now leaves Kederer on the defence from Vilela.

Keranen has spun off at the Degnars.

Replay shows that he ran wide into Degnar 1 and ended up off the track.

Luckily he was able to avoid returning to the track while in the middle of spinning.

He manages to get going again.

Jalving currently sits in 7th behind his teammate.

Van Smirren has managed to get back ahead of Worseling which was missed by the cameras.

Elleker again takes the Fastest Lap.

It looks like De Bruyker is slowly catching Rodriguez.

Here are the current Top 10 standings as we see Van Smirren attempt to make a move on Legge.

He couldn’t pull it off through the Degnars, but is still quite close for another attempt later on.

Behind the Snake the field looks to be quite close to each other.

Worseling has found himself defending his position from O’Neill.

As we ride onboard with De Bruyker let’s take a look at the standings.

Down the order we see Pedersen going for a move on Steer.

The MAC driver gets it done.

Now Steer has to defend from the other MAC.

The battle between Worseling and O’Neill continues on.

Silva seems to be having a quiet race so far.

Scala is going for a move on Gilson on the run up to 130R.

It’s close between them now into Casino Triangle.

Gilson manages to defend his position.

Rodriguez in the other MTP looks to have lost more time to De Bruyker.

Silva has run off the track.

He manages to get back onto the track but has lost a spot in the process.

Legge was very lucky not to hit Silva as he rejoined the track.

There’s been an incident involving Pedersen and Hinz.

Replay shows that Pedersen had gone off the track.

As he was returning to the track he came back on ahead of Hinz.

Hinz had nowhere to go to avoid contact with the MAC.

That is race over for both drivers.

Time for our first break of the coverage. We'll be back as soon as possible.

Reasonable weekend so far for DMR, hope Charrel and Rodrigo can keep their spots in the points and I was pleased with my pace to jag another few handy points in testing conditions (see what I did there?)

Why can't i have just ONE quiet race?

-----------------------------------------------------

Thats not a bad start. Jake has good pace and Luke is keeping it on the black stuff. Hopefully our strategy will keep working and we'll get some points again.
