Hi Guys

Just found GP4 in a shop so thought I'd get it and see if I could get it to run on Windows 10.

Anyway, having an issue with GPXPatch. I've made a small number of changes but when I go to start it, I get told it can't load and get given an error log (which I'll post below)

Starting log
GPxPatch version: 4.44
GPx version detected: encrypted GP4 v1.02
Date/time: 6-08-2017 10:55
Verbosity level is 0
OS version info: Windows 10 build 14393
Total physical memory: 8034 MB (free: 5832 MB)
Executing gp4.exe
*** error terminating process: (5) Access is denied.

Does anyone know how to get around it at all? Trying to get it to work and then maybe hopefully make some track changes once I finally get it working.

Apologies if this has been mentioned years ago but I couldn't seem to find anything to do with the same issues I have. Many thanks for any assistance.

Have you tried to run it as administrator?

Since you're planning to make further modifications, you probably want to use the decrypted executable. This may also solve your current problem.

Hi SDI

Apparently I'm showing as adminstrator, so I hoped that'd solve it, but seemingly not. Also not sure if I'm messing up with the decryper one, but I've unzipped it, pasted it over the original GP4.exe file (not that it shows the .exe bit but hey ho) and it's still giving me the same message.

Can you try to run it in debug mode? That's a setting on the main GPxPatch tab.

just an idea.... Did you install the game in \Program Files ?

install it in another location if it is the case.
