Very sad to hear my friend, but personal life is more important than everything.

I hope that all will be fine in the end and we will all welcome you back when you feel like it.

Take good care Erick

Greetings from Belgium

Marcus

Well my race just keeps getting worse

Haha, what a crash fest.

My Grand Prix 4 Files

I'm a total dick. How many people can say that?
Gutted to see my teammate crash out. Now I need to make sure I don't do the same!

Wow... it's like GPGSL-3 Long beach races... oO

Well, that version of Spa clearly needs a huge revision if it wants to be used again next season. Pity to see that the track research effort from the preseason isn't really paying off now.

Team-wise, I'm more than glad now that we didn't waste any boost. Not too happy with Mr. Mills pushing Gigi into the barrier, by the looks of it that accident might have damaged the car enough for Gigi to lose control a few laps later. No blame, mate, nothing really lost anyway.
And Matteo was just at the wrong place at the wrong time but realistically speaking, no points really in reach there either. I'm happy that both drivers seem to be okay and we can focus on the next race without any hard feelings.

Fingers crossed for the two DMR's for the rest of the race. So far so good

GPGSL Team Owner Debut - Melbourne, Season 8 - present

In third place with a possible podium in the offing. A race full of incidents.

We're in Austria mate, not Belgium. But I know what you mean. Greg did say he had to reduce the AI errors, maybe they needed to be reduced further. As a matter of interest, Greg, what are they set at for this race?

I think you missed the circuit John... we are driving at Österreichring (not A1) it's the Austrian GP.

Next GP is at Spa ;-)

Uhm ... yeah ... of course! I just wanted to check that you guys are actually reading properly! ;)

At least this explains why 'Spa' looked so different on the pics ... and why our MTPs were so slow in qualifying, they first had to cover the distance from Belgium to Austria :-o

Oh no.

It was a great race before I hit the wall.
I had AI Errors set to 25.

GPGSL Rd 11 Austrian GP - Race Day

Part 2

Welcome back.

We return from the break to find Scala and McClure in the pits for repairs.

Spangenberg is now out of the race.

Kederer is the last championship contender left in the race.

The race has gone quiet for Nell in the last few laps.

Time to check out the standings again.

The pitstops are now underway as Copeman is the first driver in.

Nell is in as well.

Nell is in trouble, and this is not what he would’ve wanted to happen as he just took his scheduled stop.

Race leader Warrington has taken his stop.

Mills is coming in for his stop. With Nell in trouble, Demon may be in a situation where they end up having to hold Nell up behind Mills.

Elleker is in for his stop.

Mills has taken his stop. That should be a relief for Demon as now they can be ready for Nell without any delays.

Nell succeeds in making it back to the pits. He has reported a Loose Wheel as the reason for being in trouble.

Cremasco is in.

Last thing Hinz needs to contend with is traffic as it’ll hurt his chances of being able to take the lead back from Warrington.

As a result of the holdup, O’Neill has managed to close in on the AMR.

Silva is in for his stop.

This battle between Hinz and O’Neill is only helping Warrington increase his chances of retaining the lead once the stops are all completed.

Kederer now comes in.

McClure and Scala to the looks of it have made contact with each other.

Scala was trying to make a move on the Mistral driver. However, McClure ran wide and spins in the process causing the MTP driver to run wide himself.

O’Neill is in, leaving Hinz in the lead.

Warrington easily retakes 2nd.

Mills is looking to be able to close in on the car ahead of him.

Hinz is finally in.

Warrington is back in the lead once again.

Hinz has rejoined, and now has Silva chasing him down.

In comes Pedersen for his stop.

Kederer goes to the inside in his attempt to make a move on Scala.

And the Alpha driver succeeds in getting ahead.

Elleker is now next in line to make a move.

McClure was in earlier for an unscheduled stop. This time, he is in for his scheduled stop.

Elleker has managed to get ahead of Scala.

With all cars having now made their stop, let’s check out the standings.

Pedersen has hit the wall.

We get a good camera shot of Cremasco as the timing confirms Pedersen’s retirement.

With Warrington out in front as race leader, this is the battle taking place for the final podium positions.

It looks like Hinz is slowly catching O’Neill.

Copeman must be struggling for pace as both O’Neill and Hinz have managed to close in on him.

O’Neill wastes no time in getting ahead.

Soon afterwards Hinz also gets ahead.

However, Copeman fights back and attempts to retake the position.

But no, there’s contact made between the two drivers.

That allows Silva to move up onto the podium.

Both drivers manage to continue on.

With 5 laps left to run, let’s take a look at the standings.

Not many laps left to go for Warrington.

We have a battle taking place between Nell and Scala for the final position inside the top 10.

Another battle taking place is between Cremasco and Mills.

The Tyrant driver has managed to get ahead.

Into the chicane and Mills regains the position back.

3 laps left to go and O’Neill has closed in a lot on Warrington. We could be set for a fantastic finish.

This is how the gap now looks from O’Neill’s view.

This race is going down to the wire.

O’Neill makes his first attempt to take the lead away from Warrington.

He makes another attempt.

O’Neill is as close as he has ever been.

McClure is off the track.

Warrington must surely be feeling the pressure.

O’Neill tries again to get ahead as the timing confirms McClure’s retirement.

The Alpha driver has done it!

But the battle isn’t over yet. Warrington makes a move into the chicane.

And the former GPGSL champion gets the lead back.

The Alpha driver put in a valiant effort to try and take the race victory, but he chance at the lead is done.

Silva looks to have the final podium position locked in.

Only a few corners left to go now for Warrington.

He comes round the final corner for the last time.

And he takes the chequered flag to win the Austrian GP.

O’Neill finishes 2nd.

Silva rounds off the podium with 3rd.

Rd 11 has finally come to a close. Congratulations John Warrington and One Racing, our winner of the Austrian GP. It’s been quite some time since the last victory for both Warrington and for One Racing, so no doubt they’ll be having a huge celebration. The final laps showed us all exactly why Warrington is a former GPGSL champion, holding off the challenge from O’Neill and retaking the position back without making any contact. Still, Alpha Motorsports should be proud of their driver for putting up a great fight. Anyways, we hope you enjoyed our coverage of the Austrian GP. We’ll see you all back again for our coverage of Rd 12, so until then it’s goodbye from Osterrichring.

Could have been better but I am not going to begrudge my driver for trying to defend a podium position.

Great to be in the points after the early spin, obviously purely down to my awesome driving skills, and not half of the field crashing out.

Superb result for Sean!

Wouldn't have used anything higher than 10 for AI errors. Think I also mentioned that pre-season during Connor's track testing.

That was a pretty intense race for sure. Dilain drove really well during the first handful of laps prior to hitting the wall, so for that we are proud of him. Great drive as well from Cremasco to finish inside the top 10 (even though it was due to half of the field retiring). With 3 rounds left to go, we are hoping both Dilain and Cremasco put in their best performances before they leave the team at the end of the season.
