Christel name to return to the GPGSL Grid
A small junket gathered at the teams Norfolk base this morning to receive the much-romoured news. A short press statement released by team boss Copeman said,
"After a short period of negotiation I can confirm that the initial steps have been taken to get the Christel team back to the grid for Season 12 of the GPGSL. We are still at the very early stages but we are starting to get an idea of what the team could look like upon return. Over the remaining races of this season I will be looking to put a strong team together and build for a successful campaign next year. I have always felt that the Christel name has unfinished business in the GPGSL and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to bring it back. We're going to be taking this very seriously and commit fully to the cause."
The team refused to be drawn on any potential driver lineups but did not that at this very early stage of preparation they were welcome to any applications and would talk to interested parties.

I'd also like to thank Nathan for giving me a drive at MAC for the past few seasons, and for his understanding in releasing me from my contract to become a team boss again next year.

Welcome one and all to the awesome Silverstone circuit.
GPGSL spared no expense since the Free Practise session for the test drivers, and got the bulldozers out, got rid of a chicane or two, re-profiled a turn or two, and hey presto, we have a pretty damn good layout to run the Qual and Race for the British GP.
In what promises to be a crucial session for the top 3 in the championship, Kederer, Gilson and Jalving can all still win the title - qualifying will help their chances big time.
So, onto the action.....
Joseph Gilson is first to set a time....
Followed by Douglas Spangenberg in the Snake....
Jack Elleker goes 2nd on home soil....
Jalving in the MPR takes 3rd spot....
Nell slots into 4th in the Demon....
Keranen in the Snake goes to 6th...
The SCR of Nick Worseling grabs the provisional pole...
Silvestre goes 8th in the MTP....
Hinz will not be happy with 7th....
Kederer snatches 7th off Hinz...
Dilain in the Tyrant grabs 8th to round out the first group of drivers to set a time....
Marcus De Brukyer goes 10th....
Daly McClure takes 5th spot....
Nata Cremasco impresses, and goes 4th fastest...
Chris Copeman manages just 15th fastest - perhaps news of his new role as team owner distracted him?
Warrington takes over that 15th spot....
Carlos Rodriguez surely wont be thrilled with 13th....
Paolo Silva can only manage 15th....

Christopher Hinz finds traffic on his 2nd flying lap, the SCR of Gilson - Hinz will be peeved with this, ruining his lap....
Yes, a full .6 off the pace as a result for Hinz....
Keranen can't improve on his earlier lap....
Nor can Seb Nell better his earlier lap, sitting in 10th currently....
Elleker does improve, going to 3rd on the grid for now....
Title hopeful Jalving instantly takes over the 3rd spot....
Gianluigi Silvestre languishes back in 15th....
Worseling improves on his earlier lap, and takes back over the Pole position....

Pretty happy with 5th, just hope I don't drop back in the race
Good qualifying getting into the top ten with a P8 and Tobias ahead of me in P7.
Hopefully a good race result may be available. Only time will tell.

Great result for Cremaco with 3rd. Hopefully he can stay out of trouble throughout the race and bring home a good haul of points, but with no boost in use that could end up being a difficult task. Also hoping to see a great performance from Dilain despite starting from 11th.
Can I ask, completely off topic, is the wiki still-editable? I wanted to update the Christel page but keep getting told I need to login to do so. I seem to remember being able to do it freely last time, but then it's been a while.
