Round 9 - Canadian GP - Circuit Gilles Villeneuve
With a bit of a delay we've finally arrived at the qualifying session. With the most recent driver changes, and the "race drivers testing for different teams"-stuff there was lots of confusion among the drivers, as they no longer knew for which team they actually have to participate in the quali. It took a while, but they finally got it sorted.
Weather won't be an issue today, no rain reported for the whole duration of the session. A couple of team boosts are being used, driver boosts not so much.
Scala the first one with a timed lap, still far off from the practice times
Silva's only marginally faster
O'Neill with the 2nd best time of the whole weekend, granting him pole for now
As the first two Cremasco too only just below the 1:18s
Kederer fails to match the lap of his teammate, still 2nd place
Jalving goes fastest, stunning lap
Rodríguez makes it a MPR 1-2
Pedersen takes 5th, not that good considering the double boost
Steer avoids last place by 1 thousand of a second
6th place for McClure
Warrington takes 5th
Slowest time so far for Elleker, Spangenberg in the background came out of the pits just infront of the Brit, holding him up for almost the whole lap
7th fastest time for Keranen
A rather poor lap by Warrington
Last round winner Hinz slots in right behind the MPR duo
9th place for Worseling
De Bruyker takes 5th
Just to lose it to Silvestre moments later
8th place for Nell
Copeman takes 11th
Good lap by Gilson to take 5th
Spangenberg with the slowest time, he lost out even more due to the tangle with Elleker
Standings after the first runs
Rodríguez improves, but it isn't enough to beat teammate Jalving
Slight improvement for McClure, but he remains in 15th
John Warrington moves past Nell to 9th
Up 2 to 14th for Silva
That's more like it for Pedersen, 6th place
Scala goes up to 12th
Elleker again with a slow lap, this time he had an off in turn 9
Huge improvement for Worseling sees him go to 6th
Jalving goes even faster
Nell improves his time, but remains in 12th
6th place for Copeman now
Not that much better than his 1st attempt, but at least 1 place up for Spangenberg
Warrington with a slight improvement, not enough to move up a position though
And that's it, dominating performance by Jalving and the MPR team, most definitely favourites on the race win tomorrow.

Happy with qualifying, 5th place gives us a good chance to get some points.

9th and 14th isn't quite what I was hoping for with a team boost but it's decent nonetheless. Very good first outing by Gigi Silvestre. Hoping for some good points, mate. Matteo will need a really good race to snatch some points, but it's not impossible. Let's hope the setup favors the race pace more.

A good qualy position - 4th place and hope to convert that to a race win if circumstances in the race allow.
Too bad Tobias was prevented from getting into the top ten.

Rear of the grid for us. Hopefully with some luck on our side both Warrington and Cremasco can make their way up through the field and ens up in the points.
Wow, I know hard work pays off every now and then..But this! Magic! I'm so proud at the moment..
Some people said we were crazy (yes we are), but we tried everything to maximize our performance. We had a slow start to the season, but we managed to come back with a front row lockout.
The race is "a different cookie", this is where the points are given. But we will do our best to get to cars onto the podium!
