So far only Suzuka would need updating to change the tobacco logos to something else.

This long wait gives me more time in the simulator to familiarize myself with the track layout and hopefully get a line to achieve a good lap time.
Wow, this summer's hectic: With my GPR series keeping me busy, I always forget when the activity deadline is due.

I'm sorry to the team if I haven't heard myself, I'm truly sorry.

Stu's remark isn't about the creation of the perf files themselves, we have automated those as much as possible by now. I think what he's implying is that having to wait a full week between races for everyone to send in their boost requests is adding to the long waiting times. Then there's additional waiting time for the perfs to be created and the mod to be adapted.
We'll keep you in mind to help out in situations when we might be short of perf guys, though.

And generally speaking, I see Stu's point, but I also think that abolishing the boost system completely will make matters just worse. Cause currently we have a system that allows backdrop teams to have their highlight moments thanks to the boost system. Abolishing it completely would just strip those teams from any chances. However, we could possibly reduce the time to send in boost from a week down to 3 days after the past race since boost can be sent in at any time over the season. So if people know they might not be able to sneak in during those 3 days, they can always send their boost requests for one, two, five races beforehand.

Still waiting for the action in the track. I feel really busy when we're waiting before the action starts.
I shall be running the FP. Expect the coverage at some point tomorrow. Won't be doing the main event.

@Stu
re mod, some things

* Sean had an additional invalid driver_1.tex file in the folder, resulting in the game using de la Rosa's texture.
* drivers.ini was missing Jake and Michael, plus Sean had the name and country abbrevation misspelled. Meant they had no flags displayed next to their names. Updated one [pastebin.com]
* Pitboards aren't set up properly it seems, noticed some wrong flags there.
* Panel order, set the atmospheric haze as 1st one, that way you have the others laying on top of it, making it a bit more realistic since they're all TV graphics

hopefully the fp will show that our car is good this weekend

Hoping for another strong outing at Monza. The boost results so far suggest otherwise but fingers crossed

If Tobias will run Free Practice for the testers, then I'll go ahead and run qualifying and the race for the race drivers.

Round 4 - Italian GP - Autodromo Nazionale Monza

Hello and welcome everyone to the 4th round of this season. After 3 flyaway races the GPGSL has now arrived in Europe, for the Italian GP at Monza. This highspeed track is one of only 5 circuits that have been part of the calendar in each season.

9 of 11 teams opted to use a boost this round, which, looking at previous seasons, doesn't really come as a surprise. Only 6 of the test drivers use their personal boost as well, certainly giving them a decent chance on a top result.

O'Neill sets the first time of the day, unsurprisingly taking 1st place

Current championship leader Soutsen fails to beat the time, albeit only just

Jake Legge, who makes a surprise one-off return with Tyrant, is 1 tenth off the pace

Greenhalgh, who's yet to score his first point as tester, fails to beat O'Neill's time as well

Oh so close for Dan Mills, the avowed Taylor Swift fan takes 2nd

Michail quite a bit behind

Rodríguez as well can't get close

Moinet sets a new fastest lap

McGregor almost half a second off, last place for him

By 4 thousandths of a second Vilela beats Moinet's time

de Boer in a whole different world than everyone else so far, 1st place by almost half a second

Only 9th for Ingers, he got held up a bit by his former employee Maverick, who was on his outlap

Sheppard found himself in a similar situation, and got off even worse

Only 11th for Kittleson despite the tow from the guys ahead of him

Worseling takes 2nd, still a fair bit behind de Boer though

Jalving in 3rd

Steer beats his boss' time, not exactly doing justice to his nickname

O'Brien with the 3rd fastest time so far

Von Draxeler puts his One in 6th place

Copeman only just missing out on the points, though he wouldn't get any in this session either way

Maverick down in 19th, the fighting with Sheppard and Ingers hurt him as well

Donut King Stoddart in 7th place

First runs completed, Steer possibly taking a maiden win?

2nd runs underway, Legge improves to 12th

Quite a jump for Rodríguez, up to 8th place

McGregor goes from last to 7th

An improvement for Michail as well, but not enough to improve her position

Soutsen goes 3rd fastest, looking set to extend his lead in the championship

With noone holding him up this time round, Ingers moves up to 2nd place

Not the sharpest tools in the shed, the SCR boys ruin their laps rather than giving each other a tow

Kittleson improves his time, but remains in 17th

Sheppard now with a proper lap and 6th place

Jalving improves to 7th

12th place for Copeman with his 2nd run

And that's it, Connor Steer takes a career first win!

Top of the leader board for a short time, but disappointingly finishing 16th. Just a half second behind the winner.
A very close race, everyone about a tenth or so of a second behind each other.
Oh well, could have done with a boost. :-)

5th. That's a great result for me.

4th place, this time relying on the engine boost only - I'm more than happy with the result :-)
