GPGSL S11: R14 Flevoland GP [VACANCIES, join now!!! || R13 QUAL online p.157, RACE p.158!!!]

Posted by GPGSL
I think you can also imagine that when he says 'tomorrow', he might mean it in terms of a race weekend? Qualifying is a Saturday, Race on Sunday.
I'm not sure if his plan was to do the race the day after, but it's not necessary to take it 100% literally either.

Wow.....:-O

As for the delay, whilst frustrating, things do happen in the real world that can cause delays. So be it.
But, it would be nice if a race coverage for the full weekend was posted within 48-72 hrs of the start of the entire race meeting, to keep the season moving along. Easier said than done, when so few RD's popping their hands up - me, I just get zero spare time normally to consider it - maybe only when I am on annual leave (maybe in about 2 months time....)

Qualified in 8th for the first GP of the year, it could for sure be worse.. I hope our racepace is much stronger, looking to make some good overtakes!

This. Take your time with the race :-)

As for RDing myself, I have to try and get GP4 running properly. Tended to crash quite often sadly... however since I started teaching time is a bit problematic right now :D
You can teach your students how to RD a GPGSL race if you want.

My Grand Prix 4 Files

I'm a total dick. How many people can say that?
I hosted a Nations Cup race some time ago and Tobi got mad at me because I failed and now I'm scared to do it again ;) Nah I mean I did screw up due to my inexperience, but I reckon the video broadcast itself was good. I'm now on midterms at uni, but assuming a two weeks wait between rounds, I may be able to host R2.

I got a bit mad because you didn't follow the instructions I gave. You wouldn't have failed if you had followed them ;)

Not the greatest qualifying for me

I know you didn't complain. But other people do it!

What I meant is that if the GPGSL members thinks Greg is taking too long to make a race, send him a PM asking if anything has happened.

What I get upset is to see one or another comment, implying that it need has another person to do the races, or that the race only comes out with the goodwill of Greg...

It's not cool!

Good afternoon, guys. I come to apologize to all of you.

I wanted to defend Greg and I ended up being rather rude to anyone who had nothing to do with the story. I'm not at a very good time, but that's no justification. Please forgive me.

As I said, at the end of this season One Racing will no longer be on the grid. I need time to take care of my health.

Once again, my apologies. :(

My GPGSL Career
If my GP4 would allow me to install a fresh virgin copy, install the appropriate patches, run CSM without crashing or telling me i have a corrupted EXE the very next time i run CSM, my efforts at RD'ing would be offered. These reasons, plus a pretty much total lack of free time, hinder my attempts! Really wish i could nail an install that works, then help out.....
Will be on annual leave in mid June, so if i can get it sorted, i will offer my services!

GPGSL Rd 1 Australian GP – Race Day

Part 1

Hello once again. We’re back here at Albert Park once again as we get set for the start of the opening race of the season. In qualifying, we saw Daly McClure take his first pole of his career. But behind him sits both Joseph Gilson and Sebastian Nell, who both have won races at this venue before. A little bit of trivia: in both Season 9 and 10, the winner of the opening round went on to win the championship at the end of the season. Could we see this feat happen once again in Season 11? Only time will tell. For now, let’s head trackside as the cars can be heard returning from their warmup lap.

Weather Report

Here we go. The cars have all returned from the warmup lap, and we are set for the start. McClure has pole, but will have his work cut out holding off both Gilson and Nell in his attempt to take the win. When the lights go out, it's time to go racing.

They're off for the first time in Season 11.

McClure was able to convert his pole into an early lead. Gilson on the other hand had a bad start and finds himself behind Sanvitale.

Further back, a train is forming behind Thomas.

Scala is looking for a chance to get by the MAC car.

And the MTP driver succeeds in getting ahead.

First Fastest Lap goes to McClure.

Ancevski in the other MTP is looking for a move on J.Warrington.

The One driver manages to hold onto his position, leaving Ancevski to now have to worry about the cars behind him.

The MTP driver isn't giving up just yet, and tries again to make his move on Warrington.

This time he gets it done as Kederer watches on behind them.

However, he won't have a chance to close in as his focus will be on keeping Copeman behind him.

This is surely going to become a 4 way battle pretty soon.

Hinz is further back, but will be waiting for a chance to make a move should the cars ahead of him make contact.

Silva manages to get ahead of the AMR as the timing shows another fastest lap for McClure.

Gilson must surely be getting frustrated by now being stuck behind Sanvitale. It's allowing the cars behind to close in on him and the SCR driver would not be happy about that.

Worseling in the other SCR is inside the points and has the other Tyrant of C.Warrington behind him. Further back, Jalving is attempting a move on Warrington in the One. Something must have happened between Warrington and Jalving that was missed by the cameras as they were running inside the top 10 not too long ago.

Both Elleker and Ancevski are looking up the inside in an attempt to get by Warrington.

Both drivers are unable to get ahead. Meanwhile, the timing shows how the top 10 have moved since the start and we have a yellow flag out.

It's Hinz, who is facing the wrong way on the exit of Turn 1. What has happened to the AMR driver?

Replay shows that Hinz was looking up the inside of Silva in an attempt to get back ahead.

He got there, but wasn't far enough ahead to clear the Mistral without making contact. As a result, they make contact which sends the AMR into a spin, and the Mistral airborne not once, but twice.

Silva was very lucky not to have suffered a broken front wing or a torn wheel from the incident, and is able to continue on leaving Hinz facing the wrong way.

Hinz manages to get it going again.

According to the split, it looks like Copeman has gotten ahead of Kederer.

At the next split, Copeman is right up on the rear of Warrington's One.

However, Copeman loses a bit of momentum allowing Kederer to close back in on him.

Rodriguez has the best view of the battles ahead of him.

Kederer has managed to get up the inside of Copeman and Jalving, and could make it three as he tries to get up the inside of Warrington.

But no, the Alpha driver couldn't make it and has made contact with the One.

McClure has pace to burn for sure as he takes the fastest lap again.

Warrington makes it back onto the track and continues on.

Kederer has also made it back.

The MPRs now look to be in a battle.

Warrington locks up on the run into Turn 1.

Thankfully he manages to keep it on the track, but it has allowed both Elleker and Ancevski to close in once again.

MPR owner Paddock will be hoping that his drivers can have a clean battle.

Behind them, Spangenberg in the second Snake has locked up and gone off into the sand. What has happened?

Replay shows that Copeman was behind him, meaning that the Snake had managed to get ahead.

A slight lockup from the MAC Racing driver caused him to hit the rear of the Snake, which is what caused Spangenberg to run wide.

Spangenberg gets back on the track and continues on, but will not be happy with what just happened.

Silva is now right up behind Kederer.

Rodriguez goes for a move on Jalving, but is unable to get ahead of his teammate.

Worseling now finds himself right behind Thomas.

He goes to the inside in an attempt to get by.

But he can't make it work.

Jalving has lost a few positions. What has happened to the MPR driver?

Replay shows he was ahead of Rodriguez, and that he had made a minor error going into the corner. That results in Jalving running wide and onto the grass.

Kederer is right up behind Copeman once again as the timing shows McClure taking the fastest lap yet again.

As we stay onboard with Kederer, let's check out the current standings.

Time for the first break of the coverage. We hope to be back again soon.

Pretty good start to the race for both drivers. Shame about Warrington though. I guess he had tried to make a move on Jalving, but made contact and that's what caused him to lose positions. At least Cremasco is going well inside the top 5. Could be in for a good haul of points if he can somehow manage to hold it till the end, but with the pitstops still to come and a long way to go, he may need some luck to go his way.

Great start, Matteo! Keep it up, mate!

Good to see I've made my way past Thomas, but arguably it's going to be too tough from here to really challenge. Top 5 would be amazing tbh.
