Nope. Season 10 it was Melbourne, Silverstone, Hockenheim classic, Montreal, Spa-Francorchamps, Monza, Interlagos and Emmeloord. I assume that didn't change.

Nope. Season 10 it was Melbourne, Silverstone, Hockenheim classic, Montreal, Spa-Francorchamps, Monza, Interlagos and Emmeloord. I assume that didn't change.

From page 1, in the rules :
22) Calendar
The calendar has 14 tracks. The following 8 tracks are always on the calendar: Interlagos, Melbourne, Monza, Spa-Francorchamps, Montreal, Silverstone, Suzuka and Emmelord. For the remaining 6 venues all participants of the GPGSL can vote with a top five of their choice. The 6 tracks with the most votes will end up on the calendar, unless another track of this country is already in the calendar. In this case this track is skipped. Melbourne is Round 1, Emmelord is Round 14, the remaining venues are chosen at random. Oval tracks and tracks with known bugs will be excluded from the calendar.
It just wouldn't be right to not have Suzuka in the calendar....

And we even had a German drivers champ last season too??!!! Surely we can get a German track on the calender, be it Nurburgring or Hockenheim?

And we even had a German drivers champ last season too??!!! Surely we can get a German track on the calender, be it Nurburgring or Hockenheim?

I went with a list of suitable tracks as opposed to a blacklist, as the blacklist would have been much bigger. The suitable list is 40/50 tracks strong, 20 were chosen from that for simplicity/country rules.

That is a shame, there are far far better tracks than Suzuka. A German GP would have been better.

That is a shame, there are far far better tracks than Suzuka. A German GP would have been better.

This is what happens when too many things confuse each other. When I edited the main thread, Suzuka slipped in from a source I can't remember anymore. But when I adapted the voting list, I went with Connor's and Tobi's track list that correctly listed Hockenheim as featured venue, hence this confusion. Stop the voting, I'll correct this later when I'm back home and restart the voting.

Please note the following:
Although Suzuka was a fixed venue for the last season, it was decided this season to replace it with Hockenheim. Unfortunately, this was not considered when the S11 thread was created and this led to confusion in the track list.
Official clarification:
Hockenheim replaces Suzuka as a fixed venue! As a result, Suzuka and further Japanese tracks can be added to the track list. Also, it was a common sense decision to keep the offered track list shorter in order to make the track voting shorter and easier (e.g. avoid too many tracks with the same count and the need for yet another voting round), since quicker progress was the main thing that was asked for at the end of last season. Since this caused some dissatisfaction, this chance is used to extend the track list to some extent. But don't complain if this makes the track voting take longer than necessary.

Will be a shame not to have further races at Bathurst for just one example. And it might also mean that several votes have to be excluded if, for example, Road America and Indianapolis are in the top 5 of user votes. Also, what will the designation of fictional tracks, for example CPE, Piranema, Uqbar etc be? Was simplicity actually an issue in the past?

That's true but country rules have never been a major issue in the past, we have managed it through continental titles for example. Will be a shame not to have further races at Bathurst for just one example.
