Tyrant Motorsports Season 11 Team Launch

The time has come for us to finally reveal our contender for Season 11. It had been revealed once before, but not as a finished livery. So now, here it is: the Tyrant Motorsports Season 11 car.

We also had our cars on display at the local Toyota dealership for people to come and see.

Renders made by me (1st half) and JohnMaverick (2nd half)

Lastly, I want to say thank you to Mal for allowing me to drive for SCR for the last few seasons. I enjoyed my time in the team, and I wish everyone in the team all the best for Season 11. Now to look onwards to my time as team owner and hope that I can bring Tyrant Motorsports up through the standings over the coming seasons.

New Helmet For Greg O'Brien

Decided that I would show my helmet seperately to the team launch, so here it is:

Renders done by JohnMaverick

I do plan to use the newer design I have shown once before, but it's currently not ready to use yet. Maybe by the second half of Season 11 it'll be ready, so I'll be sure to make an announcement around the time I have it ready.

With much excitement we present our S11 contender and hopefully it will be an unforgettable season like S10:

Thanks Tobi for finetuning both the SCR and Tyrant liveries
You're welcome.

Too much white on the SCR for my taste. LEO logo should've been smaller, so it's not covered by the winglets. Both seem over-sponsored, and have rather oversized driver names.

@Greg: the tyre shapes and textures you use in your render scene don't fit. Also the rimbolt texture still seems to be missing.

So we have 12 teams this season ?

Nice cars nevertheless, all of you. (Kedy is a bit nitpicking IMO, we're not professional designers and that's the very first car for some of us, though a good looking grid is more than welcome)

Tobi's giving ideas for improvement, which itself is a positive thing. The way he does it sounds quite nitpicking, though, I agree. And honestly, I can't remember many cars he actually didn't do it on, so ... personal taste is versatile.

Sooooorry for being honest ;)

There's pretty much no perfect livery. There are some you like more, some you like less. But imo you'll always find at least one tiny thing you think should be different.

Re: sponsors
It's not necessary to put one on every empty part of the car. It might work well with Touring cars and such, but imo on open wheelers it rarely looks good. Just my take on it.

Re: LEO logo
It's just as I said, a bit smaller for better visibility

Re: SCR
Personal taste, I like the S5/S6 liveries way more.

Re: names
Imo it'd look better and a bit more professional with different font and smaller size.

Also
Southern Cross a bit smaller and further down, and the top star wouldn't have been covered by the small winglet.

Sure, could have formulated it differently, but meh. Feel free to tear apart the Alpha livery once it's launched :p

I'm sure you'll be doing that yourself once the season gets started ;-)

I actually agree with Tobi on the sponsor front though, personally I prefer a bit more toned down and quieter, let the design and the colour scheme do the talking. Especially for a european open-wheeler looking series.

That said... the Tyrant has a Indycar feel which I quite like, and the SCR has a great set of colours on it.

I think it's good we review car livery's a bit 'harsh', often there is a lot of room for improvement or different ideas. And even though both cars look nice overall, I do agree with most of Tobi's points of view. But it's up to the painter/team owner to either do, or don't do anything with the comments. When I get around to launch the Snake car I hope I do get some constructive critisicm as well :)
