@Atticus I hate it when you are right;-) My mistake and thank you for pointing out.

I am using the onboard video of the medical car. I can see now that I didn't study that section properly as the video that I had shows it clearly. Obviously I was rushing the first lay out...a bit too, much not expecting the initial layout to work and expecting to have to rescale the background reference.

It's nothing out of the ordinary to have to restart from the beginning and I'm happy to do it this time turning at the correct intersection.

@Prblanco Thank you very much for the great reference photos and videos.

I'm not concerned about the track heights. That I have pretty close already and will find tune in the final layout.

Thank you for the support. See? Now we are talking. I believe this circuit is a must have for GP4 and I am more than happy to do the database. Also really excited about the buildings. They look so cool in a racetrack surrounding.

I was just about to say you don't need to re-do the whole thing because of the Turn 3-Turn 4 dilemma (one shorter sector will not do much harm especially with no elevation gradient present) - but then I saw the detailed info Prblanco provided. Nothing matches F1virtual's attention to detail.

I was a little inspired this morning by the F1 and I cranked this out...

Next week the pit lane and CC line.

Work to do:-
1. Banks
2. Verges
3. Track Banking
4. Kerbs
5. Walls

This track is actually proving difficult to build with no real background to lay up against.

The previous photos were much appreciated and I did spend a bunch of time myself collecting what I could find. There just never seems to be enough reference material.

Great to see this, auscain! I think the criticism above was a bit harsh. Even if there are layout-issues, most of them might be able to be solved via inserting banks and kerbs.

Anyway, I hope, we will see Baku Street Circuit for GP4 soon (Y).

It's always fairly rewarding to get the new track in-game. That was the reason for the post and with the on-board photo. There is still a heavy list of things to do over the next few weeks if time allows.

We are going to need some bigger gears;)

@klausfeldmann It's all good. There was no real offense taken:-)
I almost always rush the first layout to see what problems arise and to tweak the background photo for the correct track distance and to get a feel for the track.
In this case there were a few things discovered that I didn't anticipate originally. Like needing magic dat tweaking and physics file editing and so on. I am perfectly capable of figuring this out. I would have seen it eventually with the onboard.

Thanks for the support everybody.

Are Turn 13 and Turn 19 flat out in a 2001 car? :)

Thanks for the link. I did find some photos from their site but I didn't think to look for the photographer till now. There is some good stuff there:-)

@Atticus It's a bit too early to be worried about that stuff.
Generally no through turn 13 and yes totally pinned through 19 only doing 250kph. There is a definite lack of top end torque at a top speed of 336kph with an adjusted physics file set to 18735 RPM.

Top speed was 340-350 not just 317.

I'm sure he'll tune the default car setup in the magic data until release.

DRS? I don't need that crap to overtake, I'm a race driver! Great work so far.

with setup and specific performance it is possible that you guys are able to achieve the expected speed (Y)
