It seems that's 50-50 for me. But now, I think I'll stay with budgets and we shall see what happens next.

Do I not get a choice in that? I budgeted for the engine otherwise I'd have bidded more on my first choice drivers

It's not helped that things have been added in after the bidding process and managers have been forced into things. For example, I budgeted for a high budget engine and sacrificed on drivers only to be given a free engine that I didn't want anyway

Should have had a bid deadline for all managers and those who didn't submit their bids got the worst drivers/engines left.

Also I don't agree with inactive managers being in the higher teams as it isn't fair on active managers but I guess there's nothing you can do there. Hopefully the missing managers turn up soon

I've already bidded for my two teams with Toro Rosso and Super Aguri, and now as it stands there's nothing to prove for me, just to look forward to the season.

Talking about the deadline for managers, I believe that is ok for me I guess.

Anyway, you have started with the current drivers, I will wait for the inactive managers to bid. AFTER ever manager has bidded, the remaining drivers will become cheap. The inactive managers will have to bid first anyway.

I don't think it's a good idea for remaining drivers to 'become cheap', the prices should remain the same IMO. I've PMed the managers who have yet to bid

John, did you change the driver names via the driver selector or did you edit them? If you edited some files or created a mod, I`d like to have a link so I can download it and use it.

I edited the performance file in the CSM mod. For now I've only edited the names but I'll be using the perf values I pmed you when I finish editing the entire thing (though I don't have any engine perf values yet). I'll be passing you the CSM mod once it's all finished but that won't be until all teams are confirmed and I've completed the edits

I`m giving away Montoya for free. Someone decided they wanted Montoya rather than Glock, so I decided Montoya would be their second test driver. My excel spreadsheet will be updated tonight. Is there a way to put the file up for download? The inactive managers have a week to respond, if they don`t the team is given to someone else to handle until they return.

So they got a better driver for free!? Surely they would have to pay the driver base price atleast? I'm still confused over the engines too

what shouldn't have happened is that you shouldn't have published the drivers before some managers bidded. You did so, despite several warnings. I have experience in these games, mate.

About the second stage of bidding, if anything drivers should be more expencive. You need to punish those who didn't get their drivers in time. But same prices will work, too.

I agree. Seems like things are being made up as they go along, never a good thing in my experience (having ran a similar game previously) e.g free engines. It's starting to worry me in all honesty
