At least i'm not in last anymore, and I do see a little chance of improvement, let's go for it
Tremendously exciting race so far. Milos has got a little excited but he's young and will learn a lot from this race I feel.

I'm alive! ;)

Races: 163 - Wins: 23 - Pole Positions: 24 - Fastest Laps: 22
Season 9: Constructors' Champions
Going ok so far.
Looking at the old thread, I see that a year and three months nearly passed since this season began ;)

Would anyone else agree with me when I say that Season 10 is the longest running season to date? Or did other seasons run even longer in the past? I joined at the start of Season 8, so wouldn't know for sure.

Way too long imo, about 1 year should be maximum.

Does it matter? Probably not. The series relies on a few dedicated people to run it. Want it quicker, get in there and help out. Just sayin'.

I've been helpng out as part of the board for, what was it, 3 seasons? Seems the work I did was so unimportant that it has already been forgotten. Guess it was the right decision to quit then. True, I've "only" run 2 or 3 races, but that's still more than like 50% of all members ever did.

I think this kind of comment is very unfair to those few people that help to run this series. Does it really matter how long a season takes to complete? I don't believe it does. Tobi, I have a lot of respect for you, but your comments have been very negative recently.

GPGSL Rd 13 Oceanic GP - Race Day

Part 2

Welcome back.

Rodriguez currently sits in 2nd. He is doing his best to try and close in on Greenhalgh.

Back to Thomas now and once again he tries to get by Horvath.

And again, he can’t make it by.

The battle is allowing the cars behind to close in on them.

Moinet is quite close to Sanvitale, but also has his teammate close to the back of him.

Rodriguez is the first one in as the pitstops get underway.

Warrington is in as well as the timing shows Kederer taking the fastest lap.

O’Brien and Thomas are also in.

Rodriguez rejoins behind Maverick while the timing shows that Ancevski now has the fastest lap.

Michail is applying the pressure onto Sanvitale.

Greenhalgh once again takes the fastest lap.

In comes De Bruyker for his stop.

As the One driver leaves the pits, Michail is in for her stop.

Rodriguez has stopped just after The Cutting.

It’s a Loose Wheel that brings his race to an end.

Pedersen is in for his stop.

Also in is Horvath.

Having to make his way back through the field after his two spins earlier, Ancevski finds himself closing in on Copeman.

Maverick has caught up to Jalving.

Kederer, Elleker and Legge are all in for their stops.

Jalving and Moinet are in.

Kittleson is now up to 3rd, but knows that he still needs to make his stop.

Kederer is now in 5th after rejoining.

We have a 3 way battle going on near the rear of the field.

More pitstops are underway.

Horvath looks like he is much closer to the back of Legge’s Snake.

He goes to the inside.

However, Legge succeeds in defending his position, leaving Horvath to now worry about Thomas.

Greenhalgh and Nell are both in for their stops.

Kittleson is in as well.

Copeman is the last driver to make his stop.

Greenhalgh easily retains the lead after rejoining.

O’Brien takes the fastest lap.

With all drivers having now made their stop, let’s check out the current standings.

Time now for another break. We’ll try and be back again soon.

Issue is the lack of scheduling and structure. If the runners of each round were planned in advance with a nominated back-up for each one, then we would be able to put together a schedule and ensure that a season takes a great deal less time.

There's also the issue of people who say "yeah, I'll maybe run a round this season" at the beginning and then don't; having a clear schedule locks them in so they either sh*t or get off the pot altogether. Am I being a touch hypocritical since I've not run a round since Season 8? Probably, yeah, but that's largely because I no longer own GP4.

Right now, Greg is doing 90% of the races, and we'd be @#$%& if he wasn't around to do them.

Seriously, you too now?

I didn't say anything about people being slow on stuff and things (i.e. races, perfs, mod updates) taking too long, well aware that everyone has a more or less busy reallife going on. I'm just saying that a season going over more than a year is too long, and imo might create issues regarding interest in the series. Means maybe thinking about a shorter calendar, not people making things faster.

As for my recently negative comments, I went through the last 4 months of my post history, in that timeframe I didn't make a single post in the GPGSL thread which I'd consider negative. Didn't bother to look back any further...
