GPGSL S10: Season over! Thank you and goodbye. See you in S11 ||v||

GPGSL Rd 13 Oceanic GP - Testers Feature Race

Part 2

Welcome back.

The gap between McGregor and De Boer looks like it’s slowly decreasing.

Greidanus has lost yet another position, this time to McClure.

Into Griffins Bend, we see Ingers making a pass attempt on Ana.

And he succeeds in getting by.

We have the Greidanus of Domenech stopped on the racing line with what looks to be a terminal problem.

Suspension Failure ends Domenech’s day.

Sheppard is in for his stop as the pitstops get underway.

Hinz is in as well.

That now leaves De Boer in the lead.

Ana is also in for his stop.

Sheppard manages to get out ahead of Hinz.

Collins looks to be going for a move on the Snake.

However, the Snake succeeds in staying ahead.

McGregor continues to close in on De Boer.

But the battle will have to be continued later as McGregor now enters the pits for his stop.

Greidanus has lost a few more positions since we last saw him.

Collins has finally managed to get ahead of Stoddart.

Gilson is going for a move on Scala.

But he couldn’t make the move work, allowing Scala to hold his position.

We have a puff of smoke from one of the cars.

Replay shows that it came from Sheppard as Stoddart has managed to close in on him.

It seems a train is starting to form behind Sheppard.

McGregor now finds himself at the rear of the field after rejoining from taking his stop.

De Boer and Vilela are both in for their stop.

Silva is also in, as is McClure and Cremasco.

Ingers came in as well. Ahead, Silva has managed to get ahead of Vilela.

Hinz has managed to get ahead of Stoddart.

One of the TNRs is in the wall.

The timing shows that it’s Horvath.

It would seem that Horvath was attempting to pull off the track after suffering the puncture, but ended up in the wall.

Warrington comes in for his stop.

Pellatt is also in.

Gilson and Collins are both in.

McClure gets a good view of the battle between the Shadows.

Keranen is in for his stop.

Sanvitale is in as well.

Pellatt lost out in the battle with Ana, and also lost a position to McClure.

Sheppard is now close enough to Scala to go for a passing attempt.

He goes up the inside, but can’t make it stick as Scala retains his position.

Greidanus and Hunsley both come in for their stop.

Sheppard gets the position back as Scala comes in for his stop.

Stoddart is the last driver in for his stop.

Vilela is giving Keranen a hard time.

It’s back on between Hinz and Sheppard for the lead.

As we ride onboard with Hinz, let’s check the standings now that all drivers have made their stop.

Time for our final break. When we return, we’ll go to the end of the race.

I'm a total dick. How many people can say that?
Can I just remark yet again how goddamn BEAUTIFUL this track looks. GPGSL should have this as a fixed venue. Huge congrats to everyone involved.

As for us, wow, way to go! Encouraging pace!

Stats: 139 Starts / 7 Wins / 9 Poles / 5 Fastest laps
Still good, but outside top 10 at the moment
What a shitty strategy and pitstop .. bye bye podium!!

If you are racing, keep on racing and get some points!

Can I sneak into the points??
+1 for making this track a permanent fixture on the calendar.

Drop Melbourne then, else it's 2 fix Aussie tracks.

eeeeeeverybody's here! yaaaay

NEXT DEADLINE: 5th June

I wouldn't drop Melbourne as season opener. But I agree that two fix Aussie tracks is too much. If people like it, they can vote it into the calendar anyway.

GPGSL : Team Owner of 'Maverick Track Performance' (MTP)
Nice to at least make up a couple of positions. Not sure how much further I can get before the end of the race and points don't seem possible at this point but all about getting racing experience at this point.

GPGSL Rd 13 Oceanic GP - Testers Feature Race

Part 3

Welcome back for the final part of the coverage.

We find Keranen back in front of Vilela, who seems to be slowly closing in on the TNR.

Cremasco is chasing down Greidanus for 13th.

Collins look to have a problem with his car as Stoddart goes on by.

Meanwhile, McGregor has stopped on the track with a terminal problem. He won’t be happy with this.

The timing shows that it’s a Suspension Failure that ends McGregor’s day.

Collins manages to make it back to the pits to get his car fixed.

Sheppard looks to be increasing his lead again.

Silva now sits in 5th after McGregor’s retirement.

Heading up Mountain Straight, Keranen has a look up the inside of Silva, but can’t quite make the move work.

The battle continues on going into The Chase.

Once again, Silva manages to keep hold of his position.

Now Vilela has a chance to make his move on Keranen.

However, he’ll need to watch out for Ingers first as the HiDef AMR driver goes for a move.

Ingers succeeds in getting ahead, and now Vilela has to defend from Sanvitale.

Ingers goes for a move on Keranen.

And he succeeds in getting by.

Let’s check out the current standings.

De Boer sits in 4th.

5 laps left to go as we see McClure and Ana in a battle.

Warrington is closing in on Hinz.

The timing shows how the top 10 have moved since the race start.

Warrington now looks close enough to go for a move on Hinz down Conrod Straight.

Hinz somehow manages to hold his position.

3 laps left to go.

As the camera focuses in on Greidanus, in the distance we can see a car making contact with the wall.

It’s Gilson who hit the wall, and that brings the end of the race for him.

Hunsley was extremely lucky not to get caught up in Gilson’s crash.

Not much distance separates Sheppard and the duelling Hinz and Warrington.

That’s pretty close between the two as the timing shows that we have 2 laps left.

Ingers is feeling the pressure from Keranen for sure.

Warrington has finally gotten past Hinz.

Now Keranen has gotten by Ingers.

Cremasco is giving McClure a hard time.

Sheppard crosses the line to signal the start of the final lap.

All the cars in the midfield can be seen in the same shot.

Greidanus has lost another position.

Sheppard is on his way home. He’ll be pleased with this result as long as he can make it to the flag.

He comes through the final corner for the last time.

And takes the chequered flag to win the Testers Feature Race.

Warrington comes home in 2nd.

Hinz rounds off the podium in 3rd.

With that, our coverage of the Testers Feature Race now comes to a close. Congratulations Glen Sheppard and Demon Racing, the winner of the Feature Race. He’ll be pleased with this result, and it also gives us an indication of what is to come once the main drivers hit the track. Well then, we hope you enjoyed our coverage, and we hope to see you all back here again when we bring you the qualifying coverage. So until then, it’s goodbye from Mt Panorama.
