Team Ireland

As the season is getting to the end we look forward to a Brazil. After some good results we've picked over the course of the season we aim to end our season in a high.

Let's go for the final round of this looooooooooooooonnnng season. :)

-----------------------------------------------------

Made a correction to the perfs (mainly for Team Wales).

Lots of nations with plenty of boost left, the final round will be a cracker!
Australia's Perf: 6218/8668

Didn't realise they had a perf penalty applied, which is why I thought they used 900 boost.

Team China

Time for the final round of the season to start getting underway. For us at Team China, it's a must win situation for us (plus at least 1 extra point from either pole position or fastest lap) if we are to have any chance to take the title. Even then, we'll need luck on our side as well since we also need Wales to score 0pts (basically any position lower than 10th). If we don't manage it, at least we can say Season 5 is our most successful season and gives us a goal of bettering it in Season 6.

Ah, damn it!! Missed it again (>_<;)

In other news, Team Japan will be leaving at the end of this season (unless someone else takes their control). The team management has decided to go where future economic growth is, & will hopefuoly bring Team Indonesia into the championship for S6. More details will follow

Interesting news indeed. Will be looking forward to this.

TEAM UAE

2 podiums in the last 2 races... great haul of points. But missed out on this opportunity to use boost in the final race!!
Well gotta go on to the boards for the S6 design. An overhaul maaaay be on the way. Some nice ideas in the paint shop but for now, let's finish this... somewhere ;)

Stats: 139 Starts / 7 Wins / 9 Poles / 5 Fastest laps
I'll be posting a provisional Season 6 entry list sometime after the official standings go up for Rd 17 (which means after the round has been run). Maybe it's time to rethink some of the rules and stuff for Nations Cup going forward. Two things I can think of is activity checks and maybe a shorter calender.

Also, Team China will most likely have a new livery for Season 6. Having used the same livery for two seasons, we feel that it's time for a new look. Whether or not it'll be wearing #1 or #14 will depend on the outcome of the season finale.

I cant remember if i said i was in/out for next season! Happy to stay in.....
But you are spot on, a shorter season is needed. 10 races perhaps as a max! Rotate the venues around a bit each season to keep the interest for nations.....

GPGSL Team Owner Debut - Melbourne, Season 8 - present
GPGSL Test Debut - Hungary, Season 4. GPGSL Race Debut - Adelaide, Season 5.
10 Rounds sounds fine. Boost adjusted accordingly, obviously. No fixed venues, rather rotate, as Glen said.

What do you mean regarding activity checks?

It's to do with when the activity checks takes place. They currently take place up to a week after the standings are uploaded, but I was thinking if it would work better with a deadline like in GPGSL.

why? what's the point of having one every 2 weeks when there's only about 1 race per month.

I think i have backflipped, much like a politician. And with this said, I WILL RETURN for S6, as.....United States of America. Driver name to be announced (maybe) in coming months, but might have a Trump-esque flavour......
Time to hit the paintshop.

That's quite the same in GPGSL to be honest. That said, to shorten the waiting time we could check activity one week after the race is finished instead of the standings are uploaded.

As for the calendar, 17 is a bit too long I agree but I feel 10 is too short. I would prefer 12 races which makes a consistent calendar, yet not too obese.
