GP4 Central 2014 Mod Problem

Hey guys, I have a problem. When I use CSM mod and used GP4 Central 2014 Mod, I went to the game and I clicked drive, next I clicked race and then in the grid there are all Red Bulls on the grid and then when I go to the loading screen it suddenly crashes.

Any ideas to fix the problem? Should I reinstall GP4 and do it all over again?

Which Version of GPXPatch do you use?

The latest version of GPxPatch.

It sounds to me that I might screwed up something with 2014 GP4 Central. But I'm going to bump this time so you guys hear me again why the grid shows all those Red Bulls and then crashes the game?

Surely everything will be fine when you do a fresh Install.

Well rookie if you said that the fresh Install is needed, for me, I think I've might forgotten all the steps, so if you can give the fresh install steps on guide so it would be much easier to take and work.

Quite easy.


First you have to deinstall everything which is GP4 related. Like GP4 itself, GPxPatch and ZAZ Tools.

Then

- Install GP4 from Scratch (by CD or Image)
- Install GP4 Patch (Version 4)
- Install GP4 Patch (Version 9.6)
- Replace the GP4.exe with the decrypted GP4.exe
- Install GPxPatch Version 4.30a
- Install ZAZ Tools (Version 1.26)
- Run the Game (before installing any Mod), by starting GP4.exe / If you run a 64bit Computer, you need to change the compatibility for GP4.exe and GPxPatch.exe to "Windows XP Service Pack 3".
- Adjust the resolution in f1graphics.cfg
- Start ZAZ Tools and install the 2014 Mod by doubleclicking it. After Installation is finished, everything should be o.k.

you don't need gp4 patch v4, only gp4 patch 9.6 and you even don't need to change the compatibility mode for gpxpatch.exe , but if you've installed gpxpatch, you have to set the CPU to 0 on the gpxpatch main site

What should I run the game: GP4.exe or GPXPatch.exe before a mod install. Also I'm running a 32bit computer, but for GPXPatch, the compatibility of CPU needs to be set to 0.

always start gp4 with the gpxpatch shortcut on the desktop and the CPU 0 setting has nothing to do with the compatibility mode for windows 7. It's jst to prevent that gp4 crashes

Also I can't download the GP4 CD ISO image which it says Sorry, most file downloads have not been restored yet. Please try again soon, or if you need a file now, please just ask for it at grandprixgames.org.

I would recommend downloading the full version of the game that is available on GP4 Central. It is much easier than installing the game, the patch, the no-cd and gpxpatch by yourself.

But if you really want to start from scratch with the iso, it will be uploaded later today.

And now my game crashes everytime! This is ridiculous. The game crashes while I'm enabling all the drivers to control as a human and start the race. Any ideas? I need help!

Just download the full working unit & enjoy

Yep I did it work last time, but now there is another problem: whether I drive on a race, at the lap 2 looks like the game freezes out and also it freezes while watching a replay, but doesn't crash in any way. Any ideas?

In GPxPatch, what have you set for "Use CPU"?
