Very close to a double points finish.

I just can't believe John's luck sometimes, unbelievable!

5 x WCC - S5, S6, S7, S8, S10 | 4 x WDC - S5 Nick van der Voort ; S6, S7, S8 Ed Greenhalgh | 2 x WTC - S6 Stuart Ingers; S8 Andrei Sevastian
oh come on!
if he didn't part the car of smoke right in front of me, then I'd still be leading by 2 seconds. But the momentum was lost once the MPR got by.. so no advantage to be gained by stopping later :(

Gutted for John, always annoying when you're leading and the car fails
Hoping I can challenge for the win but if not I'll settle for second!

So at one point I led the race. I'll take that!

I just hope you and Charrel can stay in front of Nell, in regards to the championship. But I already had a bad feeling after that convincing pole. It really sucks.

Not the way I want to win if the first place has a DNF, but still a win is a win.. I will do my best!

GPGSL Rd 9 Canadian GP - Race Day

Part 3

Hello and welcome back.

Moinet can’t seem to pull away from Kittleson.

We have a move being made by O’Brien on Greenhalgh.

Further back sits Rodriguez in 11th.

Gilson goes for a move on McCarthy and makes it stick.

Moinet’s JHR looks to have given up the ghost.

Stopping on the track is not the best thing to do, so the marshal is quick to move the JHR off the track.

Kederer was able to make up the ground to McCarthy and now goes for a move on the JHR.

And this time he manages to get ahead unlike the last time.

Let’s check out the standings.

While riding onboard with O’Brien, Greenhalgh made a move on the SCR.

Jalving’s lead is looking quite good.

Copeman has a look up the inside of O’Brien.

And succeeds in getting ahead of the SCR.

These trackside cameras can sometime give really good shots of the cars.

The gaps between the cars at the back end of the top 10 don’t seem to be getting bigger.

Rodriguez is closing in on O’Brien.

It hasn’t been a good race for Pedersen, so he will most likely want to get to the end of the race so he can start looking forward to the next round.

With the race now down to the final 5 laps, let’s check out the current standings.

Wait a moment, that’s Elleker. He has pulled up on the side of the track. This is not what AMR wants to be seeing right now.

Meanwhile, Rodriguez goes for a move on O’Brien.

And the One driver moves up a position.

Transmission Failure brings Elleker’s race to an untimely end with only a handful of laps left to the end. Also shown is how the top 10 have moved since the start.

With Elleker’s retirement, that puts both Demons onto the podium. But will Demon tell Thomas to stay behind Nell? Or allow the two to fight it out for 2nd?

Jalving can now relax knowing that the race is now his to win or lose.

Legge is now up to 4th, but can’t relax as Ancevski is in striking distance.

Rodriguez is really showing some amazing pace in these final laps as he is now on the back of Warrington.

He goes to the inside down the straight.

And manages to get ahead into the chicane.

Now in a similar situation as what Ancevski went through earlier, Warrington is now under immense pressure from both SCRs.

O’Brien gets ahead.

Kederer now finds himself one position away from the final points position.

Not too long to go now for Jalving.

Ancevski is really putting the pressure on Legge.

Warrington has lost a few more positions since we last saw him.

It’s been a fantastic race for Jalving here today. He had to work a bit to get the positions he needed, but after Maverick’s retirement it allowed him to race off into the distance.

He enters the final corner for the final time.

And takes the chequered flag to win the Canadian GP.

Nell finishes in 2nd, and should see him take the championship lead back.

Thomas rounds off the podium in 3rd, capping off a fantastic weekend for Demon Racing.

Hang on, it appears Ancevski has managed to beat Legge for 4th.

As the replay shows, the Shadow driver made his move down the straight and into the chicane.

That now brings the race to a close. Congratulations Charrel Jalving and MPR, the winner of Rd 9. It’s been a tough season so far for the MPR driver, and this victory may just be what he needs to help him go up in the championship standings. However, it’s a shame that we didn’t get to see a battle between Maverick and Jalving after the AMR faltered, as it would’ve been a fantastic battle for sure. Anyways, we hope you enjoyed our coverage of the Canadian GP, and we hope to see you all back here with us again when we bring you the coverage of Rd 10. So until then, it’s goodbye for Montreal.

damn, unlucky for AMR, two drivers away from good positions..
but from myself, that was a bit disappointing. It shows I had the pace to keep up with the leaders and even be quicker, just I lost the momentum once people started overtaking. Guess I'll have to wait a while longer until I can get on the podium.

Bad pit stop strategy ruined Chris' race. Seems he grabbed still a point. Good race by Dean.
