Showing ideal line in downloaded tracks

Hello,

Just spent the day updating a fresh copy of GP4 to the 2013 season set, and looking for some tracks for the newer circuits. I've found a few, but only some of them show the ideal line (cc line, is that the same thing?), even when F5 is toggled in game. I searched and found this thread and tried to follow the instructions there to add it in myself, but that doesn't seem to be an option with tracks that GP4 Builder says are locked (which the one I've tried experimenting on is).

I guess there's no other way of showing the ideal line in-game? And thank you to those track designers that put it in anyway.

Yes, if track is locked, you can't add any object and thus can't even generate the cc-line... sad but true.

off topic you know Phoenix track from the 1991 mod? Is it due to the Ccline that the cars have this habit of driving into the wall?

I will have a look at it tonight.

But try to give me some info where the cars hit the wall.

In my humble opinion, tracks/cars should never be locked. Otherwise, please point me out what is the reason that for.

From memory cars hit the wall at turn 9 and 10.
Also the pit lane entry needs to be fixed because the collision models on the tyre walls does not match up with the object.

So far I've tried 3 of the tracks from the 2013 F1 Tracks thread; Bahrain and Singapore show the ideal line, Shanghai doesn't - I've therefore been using Shanghai as my test.

Locking is for losers.
