Ok. Download time prediction says 3 hours for me for the Testers mod.

Thought I had the track, but it isn't there. Only two hours to go on the download though!

Anyone have a linky for the track then?

Re the mods, it would be great to have them posted on mediafire, as they do seem to take an eternity to download on these current sites.... Not a complaint, just a request! :-)

I kind of hoped you'd step up for it ;) And I'd also appreciate if you could cover the tables for the time being. Maybe Stu will be back by the time of the next perf check, but it could equally likely happen that he isn't, and then it's best to be prepared.

I better start updating the tables then. Haven't done them since Round 8.

Got my hands on SchueyFan's version of the track, which seems to be the only one floating about at the moment.

It is also the best and most recent version, should work like a charm

I hope that isn't the one with deer running across the track ;)

The one of the S7 trackpack should be fine I guess.

@Ruben: I assume the NC race quali session shall be used for running the free practice?

Some mods
F1 1996 | F1 2002 | F1 2007 | F1 2011 | F1 2013 | F1 2015 | F1 2018
Welcome everyone to the beautiful A1Ring, where round 13 of the 9th GPGSL season will take place. Apparently a part of the paddock would have preferred for this venue to take place on the old Österreichring, however the majority voted for the new shorter and slightly safer layout of this track. We start today with the practice session for the test drivers. Maikel de Boer is currently leading the championship, but only thanks to having more second places than Chris Hinz, who has scored the same amount of points. Weather looks good, no rain on the radars, and the drivers are set to start.

First man to set a lap is Gigi Silvestre, who makes his last appearence this season today. He has to sit out for the rest of the season due to receiving his third penalty.

Cremasco in his MAC gets close, but not close enough

Daniel Thomas manages to set exactly the same time as Cremasco just before him

Lead change as Giovanna Michail goes fastest

Slowest time so far for Mills

Domenech too fails to break the 1.10 barrier

3rd place for the moment for Belgian driver Marcus de Bruyker

McGregor missing over one second to first, he probably made a small mistake somewhere

8th place for Legge, who returned to the test seat for this and next round

His boss Glen Sheppard does much better, he sets a new best time

Not for long though, as de Boer, last man of the first group, goes over 2 tenths faster

MPR boss Dan Paddock, who's driving with a helmet cam today, very close behind in 2nd now

Make that 4 team bosses in the top 4 as Ingers slots in 3rd

Donut King Mal Stoddart grabs 6th

With Van Smirren in 5th it's now 6 team bosses in the top7

8th place for O'Brien

Hunsley in 14th, just out of the points

Kevin Schröder, who'll retire after this season, places his VSM in 11th

Hinz beats de Boer's time, first place for the German

Rookie Aidan Keranen, who makes his debut today, holds the last point for the moment

4th place for Hayes

And 10th for Kittleson, that completes the first runs

Hinz currently in the lead, closely followed by championship rival de Boer

Domenech start the 2nd runs for the first group, and improves to 18th

No improvements for Michail and Cremasco

De Bruyker jumps into the points, 7th now for him

Mills' time is only slightly better, not enough to gain a place

Also no improvements for the Demon boys

From last to 10th for McGregor

Thomas remains in 18th

Silvestre with a slightly better time than before, but the position remains the same

De Boer not able to pass Hinz, but for the moment he's still in 2nd

No improvement for Stoddart neither, is that a donut in one of his hands?

Ingers was held up by Hunsley, else he might have got a better time

Same goes for Paddock, who was stuck behind Schröder

Major improvement for Hinz, this laptime will be hard to beat

O'Brien jumps back into the points

Hayes remains in 4th, no improvement for her

Slight improvement of time for van Smirren

Very slow lap for Hunsley

9th for Keranen, that means points for him on his debut

Schröder also with an extremely slow second lap

From 14th to 11th for Kittleson, and that's it for the moment. Join us again later for the qualifying.

Congratulations to Chris Hinz and AMR/KFR!

Austrian GP free practice results

Promising performance from the SCR testers, a similar result in quali would be good :-)

Joseph Gilson :: Southern Cross Racing :: Race Driver
That was a hell of a job, Chris! A major jump towards the tester's championship win. And it's so great to see this livery win FPs, even if it's only KFR's livery with an AMR car underneath ;)
