GPGSL S9 R13 - Austrian GP - A-1 Ring [Race online p205!]

Posted by GPGSL
I object to Kederer winning the French Grand Prix!

I do have to say it was a nice try ;)

But in all seriousness, it was a good decision to postpone the race at Dijon, waiting for a fix could take some time

Perfect!!!

WREXHAM Motorsports Racing Driver S16: ?
Looking forward to Montreal, it can't get any worse than the Jerez race.
Rumours are, that the True North test driver Tommi Karjalainen has, due his poor french, accidentally signed in Foreign Legion.
" I got lost in paris and I thought I was just asking directions, but apparently I signed in... oh my god, what have I done... help me!" Said Karjalainen to our reporter in paris.
Seeing I was going to run the next race, I'm still keeping to that. So can I get a link to the version of Montreal that will be used for the round. Also, I think it's time for another feature race for the testers, so I thought I'd inform everyone on this.

As for how I feel in regards to racing at Montreal, all I can do is hope that SCR can give me a fast car to give me the best chance possible to do the best I can do.

Roll on Montreal!

Races: 163 - Wins: 23 - Pole Positions: 24 - Fastest Laps: 22

Ed fixed that, not me.

I'm a total dick. How many people can say that?
Looking forward to Montréal :-)

My GPGSL Career
Montreal... Good circuit, but not one of my favorites...

Looking for some more good points in Canada

VanSmirren Motorsports Press Release

Today Ricardo van Smirren likes to announce that VanSmirren Motorsports better known as VSM will seize to exist after 9 great GPGSL seasons.

He had the following to say: “As I think after 9 GPGSL seasons (+ a seasond and a half in the W300) it is time for someone else to enjoy the opportunity and adventure of managing a team in this great series, I’ve recently started playing with the idea of a return to the grid as an racing driver again. Much to my delight it turned out I’ve received the opportunity to race for the team I have always dreamt of.

I have to express that VSM leaving the GPGSL at the end of this season has nothing to do with our current form or any of the drivers we are having under contract.”

I would like to express my deepest thanks to the GPGSL Governing Body for keeping this series alive, toCharrel Jalving who was our interim-teammanager 4 years ago as I was moving from The Netherlands to Germany, Kevin Schröder, of whom I bought the Fortuna Audi team in the 2nd season of the World 300. And ofcourse, who has painted most of the cars VSM has ever used in the GPGSL and W300 era.
Special thanks also goes to everyone who has been part of the VSM history and lastly our fans from all over the world who have loyally supported the VanSmirren Motorsports GPGSL Team."

Let’s rock in the last 12 races guys !

Sad to see the team go, Rico.

That'll leave just TSM and MPR as the only teams to have raced in every single season of the GPGSL.

Races: 163 - Wins: 23 - Pole Positions: 24 - Fastest Laps: 22
Season 9: Constructors' Champions
Yeah, a shame VSM's closing its doors...I'd imagine Matteo, Chris and Kevin will be very sought-over drivers for next season.

GPGSL: S6 - TafuroGP Tester (14th) /// S7 - ART Tester (6th) /// S8 - Demon Driver (13th) /// S9 - Demon/Snake Driver (13th) /// S10 - Snake Driver (???) ///]
"My ambition is handicapped by laziness" - Charles Bukowski
Gutted to see your team leave, it seems the Tafuro mafia was getting kinda unbearable by now eh? ;)

Anyway, it's always sad to see a team of the Original Series leave. Have to admit that one of the things that captured my attention when I was thinking of joining was the Repsol livery back in Season 5, I think? It was an awesome paintjob.

Guess that means that Ruben's departure had perfect timing :-) or... was this all a big scheme O_O

As for the race, I'm anxious to land on Montreal, one of my favourite circuits. If you mix a street and a permanent track, you get this. A true challenge, let's hope our new upgrades help us regain our pace.

Stats: 139 Starts / 7 Wins / 9 Poles / 5 Fastest laps
Shocking !
