My Grand Prix 4 Files

I'm a total dick. How many people can say that?
Hello! Is there any updates?
Still hoping for the last 2 cars Sauber and Jaguar, really looking forward to it!

Thanks in advance! ;-)
Hello, I've got an issue with the mod. The Jordan appears as a white Verizon car for some obscure reason
To fix it, go to ...\GPSAVES\Carsets\F1 2002\Data\Cars\Jordan\Tex\Monaco. You'll find a folder called bak, and 4 .tex files. Copy the content of the bak folder (i.e. hi_EJ12.tex, hi_EJ12_2.tex) to the Monaco folder, overwriting existing files. Then you can delete the bak folder, and the hi_EJ12_10.tex file.

Furthermore, go to ...\GPSAVES\Carsets\F1 2002\Data\Cars\Jordan\Car\Hockenheim. Here you'll find a bak folder, too. Copy the content of the bak folder to the Hockenheim one, overwriting existing files. Then you can delete the bak folder.

that's the solution, i think

Hey guys, thanks for your work! I'm bloody new here...where do I find the download link for this mod? Would like to try it out :)
I could be wrong, but i believe the link was removed because alot of stuff from the 2002 mod has been stolen and converted to Assetto Corsa and now it's for sale there.

Geebus Diced, people don't have principles or what ?
What a shame it would be if you're right...hope that we'll get another chance to download it :-o

I'm starting to doubt we ever will. Those who downloaded it before this scandal took place this time last year were smart with timing.
It's a shame...

The thieves deprive all the community, which is, for the most part, composed of respectful users,
It's sad also because the mod was pratically completed (it seems that the Sauber was near of release and maybe the Jaguar a bit less advanced),

Maybe we will have a good news in the future, we can hope ! ;-)

All the best,

Guys, this mod and cars were intended for GP4 first and foremost. We will get these cars in due time, don't worry :)

Don't hold your breath
Considering that Kedy89 is one of the main "artists" of these cars... I think we can take for sure that the remaining cars will never be completed (or at least, will never be released).

It's a shame, but considering what had happened and how all the modders involved must have been felt... it's understandable, sadly.

We only can hope that awful things like this (leeching) may don't happen again, and let other projects (also wonderful) to see the light. I belive that most of the community is a healthy community. Sadly, these leechers (less than 1% maybe) harms the remaining healthy 99%.

That's life. Have a good day!

No, I don't want to believe that I have to give up this fantastic job for four scruff thieves ... :-(

If I can be of help in any way to resolve the issue, maybe even participating in some group protest let me know, I'm very available!

However, keeping things to yourself also means that the thieves have won, and it means putting this work in the trash... :(

I have the impression in any case on the forum that the members have always been grateful and respectful and would not hesitate to thank the modders for their beautiful work.
Perhaps it is then possible to deliver them with a password, in order to be able to control the use?

It's a suggestion anyway, but can be a solution.

I hope something can be tried !
Mschumi24, Titi01170, you're right. I absolutely agree with both of you. My apologies, for a moment I succumbed to pessimism instead of apporting solutions in a positive way. My bad, guys.

I would love to see this magnific 2002 project completed. If I think about other solution I'll try to suggest it. However, Titi's solution seems to me a good idea. A password to allow extract the zip files, or maybe a hidden link or a password given to the people who requests it (similar than VB's system in F1C).

Let's see what happens. Cheers guys!

Well, that did not sound very positive :(

Speaking for myself, I really hope you share the Sauber and the Jaguar one day so this fantastic carset will be complete. I'd hate to see it go down the same path as the 2000 carset by Coldblood and Enzojz seems to go.
The cars are to well made by you guys that it would be a real shame if they never saw the light of day.

Saying that, I of course respect your decision if that is the case. I'd have to pin my hope on someone updating the F1C cars me and Lee converted all those years back. Heikki, you there? ;)

Soulbringer and Kedy, you know you have the GP4 community behind you 100% on this. Always!

Yep, haven't worked on anything in over a year. The Sauber was 95% finished when we stopped. Vladimir sent me the Jaguar quite some time ago, but I never started painting. And I don't really feel like doing so in the foreseeable future.

Tobi, if you no longer intend to work on it, could you at least send the material you have to someone in the community who can complete it?
Not to me though because I am absolutely unable to do it ...
