A friend of my made a livery for a series we plan to make, including with high texture cars. Looks fantastic!
However, on track, some high textured cars turn blank, temporary:

How do I fix it?

I play with maximum detail and 1024x786 (or something like that).
I use Parch 9.6. with the .exe for GP4Tweaker and GP4Edit. No GPxPatch.

This website might help: White Cars

Have you renamed any textures (.tex) or carshape (.gp4) files?

You should ask smoglessbutton4 he designed the car so he knows it a lot better than me ^^

I replaced all the car shapes and textures in the .wad with the 2001 cars on GP4DB and here on GPG.
The thing happens to run perfectly fine on my PC :P

Imgoing to bet smogless uses lod0 only, and yannick does not.

That might indeed be the case! I used lod0 only.

I have the same problem again...

Tried setting the f1graphics.cfg to default (0), and setting the car textures high, nothing appears to help.
Also I have exactly no clue was lod0 is (level of detail = 0?).

surely the well know mapping issue which occurs with conversions from other games....

This is an example.. but there are others thread about this issue.

in two words, if you edit the mapping of the texture with zmodeler you will see it out of the texture.
Move it verticaly in the texture and it's fixed.

This behaviour doesn't affect lod0 in game but affects all the others.

I don't do any editing. I just get those from a friend (read the whole post above) and I race. That is it.

Anyway, it is the same scenario as last year. I got the edited cars.wad and graphics.cfg, backed up and overwritten the old one and off to race using GPxPatch.
And I got the same error as last time. Some cars to completely white. Some do, some don't. Been checking around for possible solutions and tried them, they did not work.

As mentioned earlier, it was probably due to me not using lod0 but my friend who actually does so (smoglessbutton4).

You asked how to fix it, so I only tried to help you, without have to use lod0 only, that's all....
