Maverick destroys cameraman's $8000 camera!

Right when Maverick returned to the pit after his early retirement, going along with the - at this time likely and later approved - ultimate loss of the championship, a cameraman of the German TV broadcaster LTR got too annoyingly in the way of the frustrated Swiss driver. Ignoring Maverick's order to leave him alone, the driver snapped out, took the camera and smashed it on the ground before he disappeared in the pit box, unavailable for any further comment up to now. Witnesses stated that the cameraman was really intrusive and disrespected Maverick's continued request to get the camera out of his face. With today's high-tech cameras a bit more of a distance might have been advised, but the incident surely showed Mavericks frustration over the accident that cruelly ended his championship hopes and led to another season in which the championship is decided before the last race. Let's hope that Maverick's salary at AMR is a bit higher than what Scala is supposed to earn at VSM so that he can pay for LTR's damage. But then again, one would think that AMR can afford to pay their drivers a decent salary.

Fantastic to have climbed eight places in such a race full of insanity. My back still hurts and I lost some advantage on Joseph in the WDC but hey, could've been worse.

Congratulations to Ed for his renovated title and hope he retires in half of the races next year has a great time celebrating with the team!
