Nation flags for GPxPatch 4.21 by TDL

What is the width and height I need to specify, is it the 64x32 size of the graphic?

Also TDL what ones to use, 32 or 128?

Okay so now that's working :D however a weird issue, has the image flipped for some reason??

You can chose which resolution you want to use.

The smaller one is 64x32.
The bigger one is 256x128.

All working now, surely the 128 resolution is too big for the screen? and when you resize them to fit on the driver name both the 32 and 128 resolution images appear the same size anyway??

Also my first wish for a flag would be the England and Scotland flags, although maybe when a template is available we could make our own?

Whatever resolution it is, it will be scaled to about 32 in height. But it will also be scaled to 120% width. This means the 128 version might be slightly better, although you may not see the difference. It just costs a bit more video memory.

In general, the width and height you have to specify is the source rectangle in the .tga image, assuming the flag starts at 0,0 (left, top). But since in this case EDL already made the size a power of 2, you don't need to specify the width and height. The size of the image file (e.g. 256x128) will be used then. So I think for .tga you don't even need a flags.ini because the default Ext is also .tga

Hmm, no ISO 3166-1-alpha-2 code exists for those countries
You can make up your own though, as long as it doesn't match any existing code and it matches the flag image name. I only used standard codes in case I need to do more with nationalities in the future and to have some standard for modders.

O right, so i could use EN when making one for my own use. But if someone were to release an English flag using EN to this community, we'd have to make sure no-one else was using EN for another country already?

let it be clear that it is not 'to belittle the work of those who truly' dedicated to do this for all of us, thanks again, but it could be an alternative to those who can not properly display the flags, or do something different, I hope I can be a good idea.

@Pietro60: yes, that's one of the reasons I didn't include it in GPxPatch by default. So that the community can create alternative flag packs. The flags directory can also be changed in gpxsat.ini using the FlagsDir key (see docs), so you can easily switch between multiple installed flag packs.

@quickslick. GPxCInfo has nothing to do with the flags. Please read the documentation in GPxSAT.

i know René, i've made a mistake at the first time during the installation, but now i've corrected it and all works fine

The flags should be a tad darker so they don't stand out as much.

Ok. firstly thankyou to everyone for keeping this brilliant game alive and constanly updating and improving both the game and no doubt your skills. I have read all i can about the flags, but I am now at the point where I am totally confused. I have made the Flags Directory under gfx/digital2010. greated a flags.ini but now i ma lost what goes where and how. Apologies for not understanding, but I am new to all this editing thing.

It would have been better if the pack already included the flags.ini file.
But it seems the only thing left for you to do is to put the nationalities in gpxpdata\drivers.ini. You can copy it from this post. Just replace the content of drivers.ini with what's posted there.
And perhaps you didn't copy the flag images into the flags directory yet? In the TDL pack they are in the 128 subdirectory.

I found these flags on this forum by the friends of Grandprix 3, I modified and updated to 2013, with names of drivers and teams, I would like to make it available to everyone, and gives me a great pleasure to do this, but before doing this, I seems logical and correct, going by the friends of Grandprix 3 and ask for permission for publication, I will let you know something.

René, thankyou for your reply, flags are complete, drivers.ini is complete, but what exactly has to go in the flags.ini file. sorry for sounding dumb here.
