F1 1997 Mod(CSM&Non-CSM) by Nick and Bruno

Hi guys,

A few months back, Bruno and I worked on a 1997 mod and there was a CSM version released.
Now i would like to release a non-csm and csm version on GPG.
There are still some bugs but it not much.

I've downloaded mod non-CSM , but it did not work in my computador. I get this messege: "Unable to load file: f1system.txt. Please re-install Grand Prix 4". How can i solve this problem?

Hi Patrick.

In the folder where the GP4.exe is, create a new text file called 'F1system.txt' and copy and paste this into it:

;   Grand Prix 4 System File - do not edit
save_state_on_exit              =    true
install_level                   =    full
minimum_allowable_version       =    0
language_name                   =    english
animation_quality              =    medium

That's what my F1System.txt looks like.

Hello AUS_Doug,

I have copied and pasted the f1system.txt file from GP4 original folder to MOD 1997 folder, but now i have got the following message: " Unable to load file: Idata\english.str Please re-install Grand Prix 4". I've copied and pasted the english.str file into mod 1997 but the problem to be continued.... What can i solve it?

Unfortunalely the download link for the CSM mod in the first post does not work anymore, probably due to the dropbox changes in march 2017.
The GP4 Database shows an additional link for the 1997 mod by Nick and Bruno: HERE LOWER LODS.
Are these mods different? If so, it would be nice if someone could update the first link.

I am working on an update for the 1997 CSM mod including trackspecific driver data and some fixes and would like to test it with every available version of the 1997 CSM mod by Nick & Bruno.
