hi guys!

first of all: congratulations for the mod, it's one of the best mods I've ever played

but when I follow a car I lose a lot of downforce and it becomes really easy to go out of the track. Is it only my fault or is it something about the physics of the mod?

Remember Mansell in Japan 1991 ? :-)

The 2012 Mod doesn't use a custom physics. It uses the original 2001 physics (because I think it's good enough and the laws of physics haven't changed in the last 11 years ;))

So I don't think it's anything to do with the mod, unless you have changed any settings?

Also I must apologise for the delay in getting the final release of the 2012 Mod published - I have been distracted recently by the release of the Austin, Texas track, it's amazing! :-o

Of course! phantaman is correct (thanks phantaman!!). How silly of me not to spot this was the cause.

I will make this option configurable from the CSM menu in Beta 3 (which will be released shortly).

In the meantime, you can disable this effect by finding this file: \Data\Tweaker\gp4tweak.ini and changing these 2 lines to "0":

SlipStream = 0 ; set to 1 to enable slipstream effect
SlipPlayer = 0 ; set to 1 to enable slipstream affect to player car only

You're certainly right about that, probably the best user created track I've seen so far.

As physics is being discussed, is it possible for you to have the game generate a greater tow while in a slipstream?
It might just be the way I've got my car setup, but I'm not getting any noticeable speed increase while slipstreaming.

I know its been out a while, but today was my first chance to test 'Release 1'.

If I had to pick one word to describe it.......... 'Sweet'
If I had two words.......... 'Very Sweet'

I couldn't find any notable bugs, and apart from the occasional laggy-ness (altough its probably my eMachine's at fault there :-), the game ran smooth.

Very well done.

Excellent news.
(At least it looks like you won't need a last team chooser for 2013 ;-))

Great!
I really like your CSM Mods! Very complete & well done
Also I admit I had never used CSM before I noticed your 2014 MOD & Also Fsone's 2009 mod

I admit I kind of like CSM now..........It is so easy to add cars or helmet changes etc later
A very nice utility & quite ingenious in how it works & builds/creates a wad for each session

Nice. Then you may like to include the new GPaedia 2012 version.

The updated gpaedia for the 2012 mod by GP4Central made with GPaediaMaker 1.23 comes without corner data information.
Base: gpaedia files by josekast, corrections and enhancements for trackspecific gpaedia by petrus; source files (3 CSV, 2 INI) are included.
The new GPaediaMaker (v. 1.22 and higher) avoids the display mistakes caused by some unsupported Unicode characters that occured mainly in french and italian gpaedia.
For installation information read the included readme text file.

Download: GPaedia 2012 GP4Central

You may also include the 2012 countrymaps.

petrus' gpaedia files
