2012 F1 Car Launch Thread

well the Red Bull's been the ugliest car in F1 for a while but ever since started winning tittles people love it, and now teams are following and perfectioning that style...

it's a auto racing sport, not a beauty contest, i can't see people not watching footbal if all the uniforms look like vomit, it's not my problem anyway, i'll see F1 until i can, an improved designed ugly car will not make me switch.

yes, one has opinions on beautiful and ugly cars, is normal, but some are getting over dramatic about it.

about the Mclaren, i see almost imposible for them to introduce a stepped nose, they would need to redesign the whole cockpit, it would be a massive fail (with Hamilton probably complaining to the press about why Mclaren didn't get him one), the lowering point starts before the nose is attached. hopefully they don't need it

I do agree with a lot of what Kubica was saying (especially regarding not watching F1 because the cars are ugly) and the semi-hostile response was not necessary.

It was, as you said, his opinion. That is why he wrote it.

That's all well and good. But then again I dont suppose you noticed any hostility with the statements he made, semi or otherwise no?. Either way it really doesn't matter, I dont need a forum to display hostility. It's a point of view, if we are all going to go all sensitive best we all speak generally and not fire accusations at particular nations or individuals because of their own opinion.

So yes, let's keep it clean ..... and also impersonal. As for u-tube, you probably know more than I because I don't use it.

They plan to run it at the second test on the 21st Feb, so probably around then.

glad f1 is back and testing gets on. Kimi P1 today but times dont mean much right now.

I hope Caterham will get in the midfield mix. That Williams got even tighter rear package than last season nice.

Ferraris nose still looks bit strange but the rest i love it. Hope Redbull will struggle this season and maybe we see some nice performances by Senna,kimi and who knows maybe a surprise from the likes of Force india or sauber

Remember no smoking in paddock! :D... But the cornerstone has been placed correctly on the Williams... Almost perfect 90° degree

As I've stated before. Renault have one of the more subtle nose cone transformations. Really nice shot especially for comparisoms, with the Mclaren bringing up the rear.

The Black & Gold livery is working well to conceal he extent of that nose, from some angles when the light bounces of it in the right way it looks pretty slick.

Isaint, it's perfect except for one thing... The 6 on the nose kind of screws up the effect.
