The Official 2009 Brazilian Grand Prix Thread ***SPOILERS***

it's heavy rain now and thunder as well! I doubt they will drive anytime soon.
Oh hel-lo! Looks like we're bound to have a rain-affected quali then. Sweetness. As long as quali doesn't get rained off! That's some thunder they've got going on.

Think we can safely say it officially is! :D

Happy 30th Birthday to Kimi BTW.

Just listening to Sutil's radio, and apparently it's going to be similar for qualifying. It won't go ahead if it's half as bad as this. It's not windy or warm enough for the rain to burn off either, and it's far too humid, so you're relying on drainage alone to help.
lol @ hamilton on autosport.com XD

I'm assuming the drainage has been improved a good bit since 2003. The problem I guess is the gradient, there'll always be rivers running about the place.
Interesting shot from that kerb-cam anyway.

Oh, radar's been struck by lightning now. Marvellous.

LOL.

Cars on track now. :)
Scary moment for Grosjean! Thankfully not a big impact in the end, but that could have been very nasty.
Crazy crash for Grosjean. Exit of Descendo de Lago is the worst place on the track for standing water it seems.
Could've been pretty nasty, yes. Ironic that his car didn't look particularly badly damaged after it.

Rosberg 1st and Kazuki 2nd... Has got Williams the best wet conditions set up?

What a load of b/s.
exactly, a load of bs. its all calculated risk, but at the end of the day its usually just luck.
Pfff sorry, but shouldn't a experienced driver like Fisichella be able to avoid it from stalling in such a small spin..

yes, he's been looking like an amateur this weekend. he's all over the place.
Its looking to be a fascinating qualifying!

Rosberg is looking good for his first pole, the Williams looks exceptional in the rain.

Apparently Red Bull have a dry setup - it could be a tough qualifying for them, but it could be exciting to see them progress through the field if it is dry tomorrow.

Is there a time limit for qualifying?

Kimi getting out for some ice creams and soft drink ;)

They should just try and do Q2 and Q3 tomorrow morning.
