Red Bull have ditched them. I don't know anything about Horner the replacement, but is it a case of 'Here we go again' with snap decisions. It's not as if Ferrari hasn't demonstrated the strength of continuity either; Purnell and Pitchforth were clearly respected, motivated and clever.

Is Horner any good??

you're just before me to post that :-)

I never heard of Horner but I think it's a shame for Purnell & Pitchforth.

This is so disappointing. Pitchforth and Purnell were slowly becoming pretty good at running an F1 team. We can hope that Horner brings his F3000 expertise into F1 and does a great job.

Hopefully this is the last big change Jag/RBR make. Like you said, Ferrari have shown us all what to do when it comes to continuity.

After all the work they done to keep that team together and make sure it was sold to a good buyer.

Feel a bit sorry for them really

Right, so they have been running he team for 4 months and dumped already?

Red Bull may be a "new" team but whoevers making the decsions seems to have taken a leaf out of Jaguars "how to @#$%& up an F1 team" book

Seems strange to take on someone who is used to running his own team but has 0 f1 experience.

I thought the other 2 done a good job last year considering what they were up against. The staff seemed to trust them as well just seems od

They shouldn't interfere with the bosses' decisions.

Good luck to Horner,he is *really* going to need it.

i cant see the logic in getting rid of the ppl who made jag from the crap they were in 2000, 01, and 02 to the Webber hireing front row starting, points getting 2003/4 form.

Horner doesn't have to worry very much. No matter how well he does, he'll be out within a few years. ;)

Horner has successfully been the boss of F3000 team Arden racing. Even if F3000 is not F1 Horner surely knows how to run a team.

Sniper, Vader said "Horner has successfully been the boss of F3000 team Arden racing." :)

Horner wanted to get into F1 through Jordan didn't he? or was he proposing bringing Arden into F1?
