I avoid watching the documentary. Netflix does not portray true events in this show and over dramatizes it with fake stuff. They do it with every documentary they produce, not just Drive To Survive.

For example, the radio calls prior to Lando's Montreal crash are from Australian GP. It's a montage for drama, not actual real radio calls from that race.

I found the first 2 series much better, once it got mainstream / wider attention it just became over simplified, semi-fictionalised and missed out on stories throughout the season that actual F1 fans would love to see - I.e. George Russell's first Merc drive in Series 3 (2020) Also the absolute lack of anything Aston Martin related other than 2023 is nuts considering every other team gets at least a "co-team" episode each year
