Colton Herta leaves IndyCar for F2

Colton Herta is now officially a member of the Cadillac F1 Team as a test driver. He is also gonna race in F2 next season to get some much needed super licence points. This season’s results were hit and miss compared to previous seasons when he was hyped up for an F1 seat at the team currently known as Racing Bulls.

I don't know what to make of Colton. In Indycar he's either winning races or he's nowhere

He's all or nothing

In Indy, the atmosphere is much calmer, but in F1, the pressure is intense and crushes drivers like him, who make so many mistakes

Colton Herta in F1 is a mystery to me

Well, is it true tho? Why he can't just keep on racing indycars? It would be strange for him to actually join GP2, I highly doubt he will do that. Also I think it doesn't required to have enough of those points just to be a tester. I think anyone can be a tester, and I even think that Cadillac in theory can send some form of appeal to ask FIA to let Colton to drive despite he lacks few points, just because it can be solved this way as might come to terms with it as a exceptional case just to solve this and it would be fine, cos abusing the GP2 for doing the same (earning points to be allowed to drive formally) seems dumb af.

He wants a driver seat in F1, his results in IndyCar don’t bring him enough superlicence points.
