Franco Colapinto replaces Jack Doohan at Alpine F1

The Renault-owned Alpine Formula One team confirmed that Argentine driver Franco Colapinto would replace Jack Doohan for the next five races, starting at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix.

The 22-year-old Doohan, son of Australian MotoGP great Mick, failed to score a point in six races this season and one at the end of 2024.

They want the money and their car probably gonna be dead last till Renault pull it off from F1 in the near future. So it doesn't matter who is driving for them. Gasly is doing his best but still only occasionally fight for 10 place if for example 2 Ferraris + Bortoleto getting crashed, so his real position would be somewhere like 13 at best.
