Haha, I'm sure we'll get used to those noses just like we got used to the stepped ones.

Viewed from the side I think they look nice - much better than the high noses we have now.

If only they could avoid the aadvark nose, then these would be the most beautiful post 2009 F1 cars.

But designers were more free to employ which devices they could. They may not all have been beautiful (and were rarely successful), but it was nice seeing a degree of individuality.

Don't get me wrong, you simply can't have that same level of level of freedom, otherwise we'd have drivers passing out in the corners, but it's a shame cars aren't a little more different. What was the last truly unique visual aerodynamic device (I refuse to use "radical" or "revolutionary", as even using the exhaust to energise the diffuser was a hark back to the 80s)? Perhaps visually the McLaren's "H" sidepods of a couple of years back was unique among its peers? Obviously the coanda exhausts which rapidly caught on. Apart from that, you could take one livery and stick it on the other cars, and they wouldn't look that different. It's a bit of a shame, but perhaps that's the price of progress - successful designs are nearly always copied eventually, and we end up with 11 clones.

Hopefully some team completely avoids the anteater nose and comes out like Williams did with the FW26 and makes us all go "what the actual @#$%&?!"

Ugliest cars ever!

When will the FIA realise that the appearance of cars is important and adds to the appeal. they controls every aspect of the design template. They could avoid these biffas if they wanted to. Despair!!

When will people realise that it's not always the FIA's or Bernie's fault.

Much of the current technical regs were put together by the the actual teams and designers themselves. One of them quietly said hang on a mo... "If we do this, we're going to make a load of ugly cars here." And the rest of them just went "meh".

So yeah... people are sometimes too quick to jump on the lets bash the FIA wagon.
