Wouldn't mind to see some of these liveries back on the grid ;)

The artist has reproduced many of those exceedingly well... but it'd be nice if they'd select a wider range of chassis rather than just simply last years McLaren. ;-)

I think "retro" livery could be kind of cool but I think it'd also be neat if teams kind of owned a base colour scheme. For instance about a 3rd of the grid is made up of predominantly blue cars but it'd nicer if there was a bit more to set them apart visually.

Here's my suggestion of what I'd like to see;

Ferrari to continue with Red, although perhaps a return to true "Rosso Corsa" is long overdue.
Mercedes are supposed to be the "silver arrows", so silver they should be.
"Lotus" to stick with JPS style black & gold or switch to Camel style yellow.
Red Bull, makes sense to remain with main corporate Red Bull can colours.
Toro Rosso, to mark a bigger visually from RBR it'd be cool to use the silver or red editions... But these colours are already "owned"
McLaren, with the Merc partnership coming to an end it's time drop the Merc colours. Some say return to the Marlboro style branding, I say honour the original orange.
Williams, too many blue cars in F1, so how about a return to white and green or at the very least reintroduce camel style yellow to the blue/white base.
Force India, I like the general inclination towards national colours.
Caterham, stick with British Racing Green (ish) with lotus style yellow stripe.
Sauber, need to pick a completely different colour to stand out... Leyton House bluey, greeny turquoise?
Marussia.. Pfft who cares?

I agree, a lot of those modern re-interpretations are pretty poor, but the guy from that blog has done a really good job!

i don't like most of them, lines and figures were done to fit the old shapes, some og which were quite squared. Probably had to re-shape the figures to fit modern shapes which are more rounded IMO
neverthless the JP lotus is sexy on wathever shape you put it. the arrows 94 seems to have a pretty silhouette too

Yeah, any livery where the logo spills over from the sidepod onto the nose (eg '79 Arrows) is nothing short of horrendous hot
Also, whoever cut off the top of the Lucky Strike logo on the '04 BAR needs to be shot - ruined a good livery!

Any Jordan livery IMO looks awesome regardless of the shape. The '05 McLaren is a stunner and I think that the '84 Toleman looks pretty sexy too :)

...oh, and the '97 Williams ;)
