They do, yeah. I'm interested to see whether Hulkenberg can pull out the mother of all recovery drives. Of course, it's dependent on a clean start...

One thing I'm interested in is the power figures of each engine. Does anyone have any approximations of each engine's horsepower? It's so much more closely guarded these days...I remember F1 Racing published a list in 2001 of approximate horsepower of each engine in a feature about the Renault 111° unit. I just wanted to see whether it's true that the Mercedes has the most grunt...

It ought to be a McLaren demo tomorrow but we all know that could change in the blink of an eye.

I have heard, that Montezemolo suggested this weekend, that perhaps Massa's carreer was coming to an end. If it is true, that he said that during the Monza weekend, then that's a lot of pressure. I hope Massa doesn't take that pressure with him into T1 tomorrow.

It's only after we've lost everything, that we are free to do anything.

Massa definitely drove very well in quali. He has a chance of winning, if the Ferrari turns out to be a quicker car in race conditions.

I don't know. If Alonso felt he should have done a 23.5, then Massa would still have been 7 tenths slower, on a track with 6 corners.

Lewis said he could have gone faster, button got that time due to slip streaming Vettel so Lewis has quite a but faster yesterday but its today that counts anyway.

Is it weird that I saw that Alonso-Vettel "revenge" moment coming as soon as Alonso began attacking him?

Don't really agree with that penalty - this time.

Alonso went from being behind, to going to the outside when another driver was ahead already.... he was squeezed but the closing distance was very fast.

I wouldn't have done anything.

Ridiculous decision that is likely to have a big effect the championship.

This drive is gonna do Perez's chance of a Ferrari drive no harm at all. Makes you wonder what he could have done in Spa of not for the accident at turn 1.

Gutted for JB, got to be his hopes of a second title over now, especially if Alonso finished 2nd once Massa pulls over.

Well as a Red Bull fan that was pretty difficult to watch near the end

Felt like it was 2008 again or something ;)

The drive through for Vettel was ridiculous imho, Alonso did pretty much the same last year and wasn't punished.

I think that after the Spa crash, stewards are taking more of a dim view on driving like that.

Though if you want to be cynical, Ferrari were on home turf... ;)

Great drive by Perez. If he's not in a Ferrari next year, they've missed an opportunity.

I agree with the penalty. When you look at 2011, Vettel only touched the grass to kick up a bit of dirt. He still had enough grip to finish the overtake. But, in 2012, Alonso had no choice but to bail out, and had to drive along the gravel and lose a lot of time.

I think 2011 was just enough space, whereas 2012 was just not enough space.

And, once again, the stewards have said that they're going to clamp down on driving like this after Grosjean's crash. They didn't have that situation in 2011.

After seeing both again, I've to say you're right with this.

Also keep in mind that last year there was no rule in place saying you must leave a car's width while defending. Harsh penalty, but justified.

Solid win for Lewis, hope it knocks him out of this grumpy phase he's going through. :)

Good race.

Best part?

Horners face.

I've got to say Button's retirement was entirely made up for by RedBull having a shite day and Perez and Sauber showing up Ferrari on their home turf. Ironically Perez is likely to be the tifosi's new hero in the years to come!

Lewis controlled the race as easy as Button did at Spa. Such a shame we lost JB because it would have been a good battle for 2nd with Perez. Button again lacking speed on high fuel, at any other stage he is as quick as Lewis. If only he didn't lose that 7-8 seconds at the start!

Mention to Schumacher. Once again showing age means nothing. Good drive.

Kimi deserves a mention, if only for his championship position?!

Some good drives out there though. Never really been a fan of Perez but he was awesome today. Still not too keen on the lad though.

End of the European season, and Maldonado has scored zero points since Barcelona.

And Senna is still behind him in the championship.
