Good stuff by Schumacher, hopefully 4th or 5th is possible in the race.
Nico's starting to show a dissapointing pattern, I thought Australian Qualy was just a blip, but to repeat a lock up here when it counted is revealing.

Tomorrow I hope Button gets a good start and gets past Schumie and Lulu. (My hope is that Lewis has about 2 more seasons of pain before he gets back a Championship...just because he came straight into a top team!).

Anyone behind that lead group who survives turns 1,2 and 3 on the opening lap should get a special medal.

Very respectable performance from MS, P3 and outqualifying Nico twice in 2 attempts. He's not back to the old Schumacher just yet, but it's coming. Hopefully he and Kimi can give the Maccas some grief going into Turn 1. Then there's the prospect of the RedBulls coming on strong later in the race, as well as the possible rain.
Fascinating race in prospect!

Yeah... This trend for teams to close up on one another and things be really close happens when the technical regs are relatively stable. This will change for a while for 2014 when big changes are happening.

You say that, but it's been this way since the change of regulations in 2009. There's always been a dominant team (Brawn, RBR, RBR and currently McLaren) and the 3 teams at the rear have always been adrift (seemingly even Caterham have made zero impact on the established teams) but from the second placed team to the ninth placed team it's been stupidly close.

I do wonder what the point is with the new teams, I mean, how long do they really expect to last lingering at the back?

I can't begin to imagine the morale of the people working for the likes of HRT. Unless they come from the school of just being there is a win, it must be infuriating.

Caterham were only ... well. Heikki wasn't far off Vergne's time. I think its as close as they've been. Give them a chance this year and see what happens.

But I agree the other two are @#$%&.

That lap wasn't really representative of Vergne's potential though.
