From the beginning I've been picking Portugal and hoping Netherlands and Spain can deliver, it seems to be the case so far as I only didn't correctly guess the outcome of 4 games total so far! And don't make too much fun of France, they needed a reality check in 2002 WC and got it, then did well in 2006. They needed a reality check now and they got it, Italy needs their reality check but that won't happen until 2010 when they'll be humiliated. Brazil needs a reality check big time and it might come with us losing the Olympics, or just doing very badly as we are right now

I never said Poland would win.

Maybe once, but that failed miserably.

Germany for me... Ive always liked them and they're good to watch...

Ballack has also got to be one of the best midfield players around, if not!

I want it to be Spain, but Germany will win.

How i wish England were like Germany in football. Not really the favourites normally but frequently reach at least the semi's.

what, you mean good ? ;)!

other teams just seem really fluent with their football, I cant remember ever seeing England look like a real team.

So is it now Germ v Turk then Spain v Russia ?

So hopefully set for a Germ v Spain final ?

I am cheering for Spain but whoever wins that game should be the champion.

Just wondering, in the up and coming Premiership season, could your opinion be that Man Utd will be the champion?

I got a feeling that Russia might sneak past spain.

Arshavin is looking on form and Hiddink is a phenomenal internation manager

Pavlyuchenko is good too. I still think a Villa/Torres combination can be deadly, if both are on form (especially Torres who is less consistent than Villa). Silva playing like a great winger could be the difference here, let's see if he can do it!

Losing Villa is a major blow, they'd have been better off losing Torres. I expect them to go 4-4-2 but would not be surprised if Fábregas starts and Silva is moved up a little so an offensive 4-5-1. Spain better win!

@ Chet, I think the guy's name is Zerkov :p
