Moehahahaha, however my national team (Netherlands) lost also patheticly against White-Russia, it's very nice three Dutch coaches made it to the EK, of which Marco van Basten is the least impressive atm :D

It's a shame however, without England on the championship, but they didn't deserve it, and Croatia did.

I read that the British economy will be very heavily hit due to the failure to qualify. Maybe something like 300 million pounds or more!

Anyway, MASSIVE embarassment.

I might be English but I'm alsdo a neutral fan, and all I can say is thank God England are out! :) Now I can actually enjoy the Euro Championships next year, without the idiots at the press forcing their propaganda down my throat.

Granted mate, but Derbyshire just isn't good enough (yet anyway). Dave Kitson should be higher up the pecking order than Derbyshire. Bentley's good enough to be in the squad (at least until Lennon's form returns), but he's not international class.

The media were putting terrific pressure on him to play an attacking 4-5-1 last night, he went and did it, and now they've been beaten, the media still lambast him. He probably didn't deserve the job in the first place, but I thought he did OK with it, up until last night. Nothing special, and he certainly wasn't going to be a long-term manager, but who else is available? None of the big name managers will touch it (Lippi, Mourinho) yet I can't see a younger manager being able to make the big calls (DROP LAMPARD, FFS) so we'll see where it ends up.

I think I'm more disappointed Scotland didn't get through. They deserved it.

Capello's apparently interested - and IMHO he's a far better manager than Mourinho or Lippi

Bring in Capello, Mourinho is not the right man to take charge of England same with O'Niel

Doesn't matter, only thing at stake was becoming group leader in the Championship groups (with the advantage of playing all the 3 games in the same area/stadium.), and therefore Holland had to win and finish first of the qually group.

However Netherlands couldn;t manage that, which is pathetic, Germany failed, which made Holland stay first in some sort of result ranking, and now they are still a group leader at the EC.

Which means they problably are about to be trown in the so called Poule of Death. But ofcourse, even a poule with teams like Poland, Russia and Sweden means certain death for Holland in their present state. But at least, they only have to book one hotel, stay there, lose three times in the same stadium, and go back to Holland, which is convenient ofcourse. ;)

We , Poles, have had a lot of troubles playing England, lately. Whenever Poland faced England within last 20 years, we had huge problems with gaining even one point (or even scoring a goal).

I am so happy that Poland have qualified for Euro 2008 outperforming Portugal and taking the first place in the group. It's the first time we qualified for European Championships final tournament.

Despite Polish being constantly beaten by England, I supported "Three Lions" whenever they played in the past. However, their Euro 2008 campaign has proved that England did not deserve participation in this tournament. They played like school boys. I still remember the Robinson's blunder when Gary Neville passed a ball to him and scored an own-goal in the first leg against Croatia.

Hope England will qualify for World Cup 2010. Wish you good luck, mates. I wish you a better team (and a coach) next time. Your current team seem to got their balls chopped off, unfortunately.

England cannot fail to qualify to the World Cup, that's just unacceptable, it's not like the pressure Brazil always has but it's just such a traditional team that should have better results with some of the players it possesses.

Too many egos. Big names and managers that don't have the confidence to drop them mid-way through a campaign. For instance I can't remember England playing better since 1998 than we did when Lampard was injured a couple of months back.

Second.

Going to be tough in the WC Qualifiers after we are now in the second seeds, with the possibility of playing the likes of Italy and France. But the Scots beat France, but we still couldnt probably beat Scotland now.
