Really? How do you figure that? I have heard such a claim about Manchester United, Real Madrid, Glasgow Celtic, Boca Juniors and Barcelona in the past. I know Boca has the highest membership of any football club. Fanbase is much harder to actually quantify.

Flamengo has about 35 million fans in Brazil alone, at least. We don't have the highest affiliation because it's Brazil and there's plenty of disorganization when it comes to doing things right. Then add some fan bases from around the world... there you go
