i find it really bizarre that those behind the logo keep saying it's "vibrant" and "modern" and "represents a new age of England" and so on. are they looking at the same logo as the rest of us? it doesn't convey any of those messages to me, it's just a few geometric shapes that are supposed to say "2012". when i first saw it, i didn't recognise it even said "2012" for a few minutes. anyone who didn't know that it was for the 2012 Olympics wouldn't probably wouldn't recognise what it was for, unless someone told them.
and all this hoo-haa in the media is a bit OTT, at the end of it all, it's only a logo which will be forgotten a few days after the event anyway. there are much bigger problems in the world we should worry about, the main one being poor Paris Hilton enduring hell on Earth in Abu Ghraib-esque prison cell.
